GameStop — Local services in Grants Pass

Be very cautious when shopping here. I purchased a Nintendo Switch 2 in early August, largely because the associate assured me I could return it within 30 days as a GameStop Pro subscriber. That return policy was the deciding factor in my purchase.

After using the console, I realized it wasn't for me — the battery life was disappointing, and the included Mario Kart game had changes I didn’t enjoy. When I returned to the store to bring it back, I was told the console was not returnable. I explained what I had been told at the time of purchase, but both the associate and the manager refused to honor that information or help in any way.

They completely flipped the script after the sale was made, and I was left stuck with a product I wouldn’t have bought had I known the truth. If you're considering a major purchase like this, you're better off going with a more customer-friendly retailer like Costco. Wow! What Crooks!! Was quoted a cash price both over the phone and on the website for a console. When I brought the console in to the store the heavy-set blond manager immediately said even before looking at the console that the price I was quoted was the trade in value and the cash price was $20 less. I said that when I looked it up online the price I was quoted was $20 higher for cash than she was now quoting. She said I was wrong and she would prove it. Instead when I pulled out my phone and showed it to her on the GameStop website she then changed her tune and said "well there's also a refurb fee so its $20 less either way." The Console had zero flaws, it worked perfectly and was in amazing cosmetic shape. I can typically get what I need. I did hear “my shipment came in and I have like 30 boxes to go...” from 2 different employees, 4 days apart when waiting for a pre order that should have been out days prior (not counting the weekend). I get it we can’t control the post office but a generic and lazy answer is not what is needed, especially when it sounds like what everyone is trained to say..... Also if you know nothing about video games employees are ok, if you are a veteran when it comes to video games and do your research you will not be very happy with the amount of knowledge they offer beyond that. In short GameStop has always been my go to but with the service I have received from this location, GameStop is becoming more of a nuisance than a helpful resource.
