This place is incredible! It's a small mom and pop establishment and they make everything authentic and FRESH. Because of that, you may have to wait a bit for your food, but I promise it is SO WORTH IT! Everything I've tried has been flavorful and filling. The drinks are served with sweet, edible straws, which makes the limonada taste like key lime pie. The passionfruit drink is my favorite. Their dish, Mas Que Chimi, with smashed plantains instead of a bun, is unlike anything else you can get in the area—I highly recommend trying it. We've also tried two of their three entree dishes, and they were both super tender and delicious. The owners are friendly and make this place wonderful. The atmosphere is so cheerful and the music is upbeat, you can't help but be happy when you're there. I hope everyone in town checks this place out, so it'll be here a long time!

Update: It has been 8 months, and the consistency of delicious food and excellent service are on point. I can not stress enough how great this food is. This food is incredible: the mango juice with edible straw 🥰 the Mas Que Chimi, with pork, and you must have the guava cheese empanada for dessert. I cannot express how happy I am to have found this fantastic little family-run restaurant, the sweetest family with authentic food, music, and vibe. Next to Triple-A is tucked away but a hidden gem. This Dominican Caribbean Kitchen is a win for Grants Pass! Try it. You won't be disappointed. Be sure to return and try the salmon dinner; the beans and salad sides were phenomenal. Authentic Dominican family dinner!

Edica and her family have a lovely restaurant and delicious food! We loved the colorful, cheery and clean interior and Dominican music. The food was excellent - yummy pork, salmon and chicken. The chicken we ordered was in a fried sweet plantain sandwich with fried cheese and salami and a delectable sauce. Surprising flavors and textures and SO good! 10 out of 10 recommend.

So so so so delicious! Flavorful, fresh, everything homemade, empanadas made to order, I could go on for days about how incredible this place is. The owners are so welcoming and happy to explain anything on the menu to someone who might be trying Dominican food for the first time. We ordered from door dash the first time we decided to try it out. The Maduros and Queso Frito are the perfect bites to start with, my husband had the Carne Guisada with pinto beans & yellow rice, and I decided to try their Pernil with white rice and black beans. Both were AMAZING! Their pork is very well seasoned, the beans were tender, and even the white rice had savory buttery flavor to it. My husbands meal was even better than mine. Today we dined in with my mom and kids, and I decided to try the guava and cheese empanada for dessert (the only thing we didn’t get the first time) and to absolutely no surprise, it was incredible as well.

My family and I are definitely going to be regulars here. On a weekly basis, even....

A gem to savor beautiful and delicious Dominican/Caribbean food. If you have not had an Empanada before, try the Chicken & Cheese. It is WONDERFUL. During my first time there (highly recommended by friends got me there), as food was being served to others, it was hard to choose, so I will be back to try more. People there raved about their favorite items while I was waiting for my to-go order, so it will be exciting to go back and try more! Super friendly owners. They advised to order ahead for to-go's because they make everything FRESH! (Bless their hearts they were worried about my 15 minute wait!) Wonderful experience all the way around. Owning and running your own business let alone a restaurant business is not easy at all, so it has to come from the heart and it totally does here. I hope our community will support this local family business and enjoy the authentic and fresh cuisine as...

Mas Que Chimi is a gem of a Dominican restaurant serving up some of the best pernil we’ve ever had—better than what we’ve tried in NJ or Miami!

We ordered the pernil platter with red beans, yellow rice, and maduros, plus a limeade and a beef and cheese empanada.

Every bite was perfection.

The pernil was melt-in-your-mouth tender and bursting with flavor (slow-roasted overnight!), the maduros were perfectly sweet with crispy edges, and the red beans were rich and savory.

The yellow rice with corn tied everything together beautifully.

The empanada was generously stuffed and delicious, and the fried cheese was perfectly crispy outside and gooey inside.

To top it off, the limeade was freshly squeezed and refreshing.

The husband-and-wife team who run the place are as warm and wonderful as the food they serve.

We can’t rave enough about this spot—Mas Que Chimi is...
