Latte Factory — Restaurant in Grapevine

My son and I decided to try a latte after tasting their samples. The girls were pleasant but checking out was an issue. A BIG issue, imo. I paid via debit card, clicked on NO TIP. I felt like the price changed quickly so I printed a receipt. Sure enough, it tacked on $3.36 for a tip even after I opted for no tip. I talked to the girls and of course the had to talk to me like I didn’t know what I was doing. After explaining, numerous times, that I did choose no tip, they offered to issue a refund and re-ring it. That would be fine except I won’t see my money for 5-6 days. That’s not acceptable. I get most places operate this way but it makes no sense to me. They are able to TAKE my money immediately but refunds take 5+ days. No Bueno. I told them I wanted my money today!!! They got pretty flustered at that point. I understand they are just doing their jobs and I worked hard to maintain composure. We finally agreed they’d just give me the $3.36 back in cash(which I suggested in the first place. ). So, check your receipts…..these machines are not to be trusted!!! Oh! And I also noticed we were charged $1.50 extra for the sweet cold foam topping making our drinks come to a whopping $8.40 each!!!! This was my first time...

This place is incredible! The drinks are perfectly flavored and absolutely delicious. But the customer service was TOP FREAKING TIER!!! We're not from here, just here on vacation. I was trying to be adventurous and try something new. The adorable lady behind the counter I guess could tell by my face that I regretted my decision and wasn't over the moon with the new flavor I tried. (This is not a judgement on the drink I chose, I'm sure most people would have loved it, I am just super particular about my drinks.) It was clearly a me problem, not their problem at all. So I was just going to take it and drink it. But the lady was insistent that she make me something else, at no charge, that I would love. I listened, got their Iced Chai Latte, and fell in LOOOOOVE!!!! The experience here was so wonderful that I immediately Googled to see if they had a Latte Factory back home that I could go to, because I loved it so much. I am happy to report that I DO in fact have a Latte Factory back home, and because of my wonderful experience in TX, I will be going to the one here in OK, A LOT!!! I went here to buy my sisters a latte and they originally told us it was going to be $7 which is decent and when it’s time to pay I’m looking at the screen and it said $12 and I’m so confused and I’m looking at the screen it’s $2 for caramel which hello where even is it??? And soft top was $3 so before I pay I’m like oh can I get it without that right and the lady worker says no because it’s already made so I say oh okay and I’m thinking someone in the back is already making it so I pay and we’re waiting. While we wait I see the SAME lady making the drink right infront of us like wth??? It wasn’t made and she didn’t want to cancel the soft top and caramel which absolutely baffles me because not even Starbucks Dutch bros or 151 charge for that. Never going there again cause that was crazy. Hello where’s the caramel??...
