My wife and I came here for the 2025 XO conference. The conference was excellent however, Fellowship Church and their security was horrible.
This place is a dystopian location disguised as a pure, holy conveyer of the gospel. They have an overwhelming amount of over zealous undercover matrix like security guys walking around in plain clothes and trench coats with creepy earpieces in their ear. They attempt to disguise themselves as patrons just like you but the secret service ear piece and Orwellian grimace gives them away. They have them to watch over their patrons, customers and believers because they want you to obey, comply and buy... all their books, t shirts, hats and pastries.
As we were walking in for the first of the two day conference I was immediately approached by one of these "security" guys and he asked if he could look inside my backpack. I asked why and what he was looking for, his response was "weapons." As a paying customer and believer I found this insulting and I let them know their behavior was despicable. The guys search was ceremonial at best and very ineffective as he only looked inside of one of 4 pockets and released me. He never found my pocket knife that I forgot was in there. They NEVER looked inside my wife's large bag!
10 steps later I was approached again but this time the creep was more of jerk. When he asked I said no he could not search my bag because it was already searched and I had the tag to verify. He got a condescending attitude and I gave it back to him. He had the nerve to tell me I had the "wrong perspective" for which I had to inform him I never asked for his opinion on my perspective and that if they continue to violate my 4th amendment I'll continue to exercise my 1st amendment right. He mentioned he didn't have time for my attitude and I had to remind him that our conversation would continue as long as he remained involved. He finally walked away but continued to spy on us. My wife noticed him a few times lurking and peering over at us as we walked around. A lady near our seats had a large bag and told us they never looked in her bag.
Furthermore, this place is in the USA but doesn't accept United States currency in the form of cash because they don't trust their employees. They have little to no scripture displayed anywhere and it's very clear they very much don't trust believers but very much want you to buy their merchandise.
This was a two day conference with numerous 1-2 hour breaks. After the very first check in, the overwhelming amount of creepy security guards dwindled and no bags were being searched upon re-entry. I guess this is because terrorists only make their attempt first thing in the morning or their dystopian security fell asleep from all their hard work.
My wife and I were considering making this our home church but after this type dystopian experience we'll never come back. This is probably why Pastor Jimmy Evans doesn't want to associate with this church...
Read moreThis church does not lead with the word of Jesus. This church uses their facilities for a place of business. Jesus used whips and drove the tax collectors and people trying to make money from the church. Jesus flipped tables and was furious by religious leaders for making money in the church. Jesus said the church shall be a place for praise and worship. I went to the life surge event and it’s sad because the event charged you 3x. 3 different levels, they pull you into the church for $200 a ticket to get you out into another event for $200 and then they try and get you into the bigger event for 30k. The speakers were good but it was a little cheesy and the Pastor gave me a bad vibe. The message wasn’t Holy Spirit filled. Usually when churches aren’t speaking the truth they have to make up the difference in charging for events to cover their big lifestyles. The Bible talks against leadership like this. I personally would stay away. You don’t want to follow evil who walk around in sheep’s clothing. This is why we must read the Bible and hear from God and do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of our mind. I only post this because we are under Gods judgment and you have to be careful where you get teachings from or it could cause death and more problems. There are plenty of church’s who speak and live out the word correctly. This church isn’t living...
