Maki of Japan is a standout in the food court dining scene, offering exceptional Japanese cuisine that feels more like a restaurant experience than fast food. Whether you’re craving teriyaki, sushi, or hibachi, this place delivers consistently delicious, high-quality meals that won’t break the bank.

The teriyaki dishes are a must-try—tender, perfectly seasoned chicken or beef served over fluffy steamed rice with a side of crisp, sautéed vegetables. The flavor is rich and authentic, with just the right balance of sweetness and umami. For sushi lovers, the rolls are always fresh, beautifully prepared, and surprisingly flavorful for a food court setting. Their hibachi plates are another highlight, with generous portions of protein, vegetables, and fried rice, cooked to perfection.

What truly elevates Maki of Japan is the excellent service. Despite being in a fast-paced environment, the staff remains friendly, attentive, and efficient. Orders are prepared quickly without compromising on quality, making it a perfect option for a quick but satisfying meal. The cleanliness and organization of their station also stand out, showing their commitment to maintaining high standards.

Overall, Maki of Japan offers a fantastic combination of affordability, taste, and convenience. Whether you’re on a lunch break or shopping and need a flavorful pick-me-up, this spot consistently delivers. It’s rare to find such care and quality in a food court, and for that, they deserve a glowing five-star review. Highly recommended for fans of...

Maki of Japan is located in the Grapevine Malls food court, serving good hibachi style meals in a fast, cheap, and convenient manner to the public.

After a long day of shopping till we dropped, we had the urge to fulfill our growling bellies with food and ended up at Maki of Japan for hibachi. The line was fairly long but went fast due to the amounts of chefs on the grill whipping up the orders. We went ahead and ordered the beef teriyaki with mixed veggies over a bed of steamed jasmine rice. Within minutes of placing our order, the chef was on it working his magic. The food was packed and loaded in a Styrofoam container and presented to us after we paid our bill. The food in the container definitely was enough for more than one person and looked great! The beef was sliced thin and tender and paired well with the rice but was also very sweet. There is also a hot sauce condiment bottle to squirt into a small container to go, and I found myself using the hot sauce way too much to overpower the sweetness from the sauce.

Overall, for under $10, this was a good meal to feed us and kept us going. The staff and service were nice and provided great service throughout our visit. I highly recommend this if you're in a rush and trying not to break the bank, then this is...

Update 09/06: I tried to give them another chance, but because of the music blasting so loud I had to keep repeating myself over and over again just to get the right food. If you’re going to play music, which I am to have fun at work, make sure it’s at manageable so that your customers don’t have to keep repeating

I've been a regular at Maki of Japan in Grapevine Mills for a while now, but it's honestly getting harder to justify coming back. The employees are always rude and disrespectful customer service seems like an afterthought here.

To make matters worse, they always stop serving their most popular dishes (like my favorite bourbon chicken) more than an hour before closing. If you're going to post closing hours, at least offer your full menu until then. Cutting off the best items early just tells your regulars that their business doesn't matter.

I’ve given this place multiple chances, but the pattern never changes. This kind of experience makes it really easy to take my...

I like these food but when coming to satisfactions I don't like it they give very little today I got very little of noodles they charge extra for noodles but give very little amount it's $9 just for the plate but if you want noodles you have to pay extra I think it's $2 it's pretty expensive before pandemic it was only 50cents extra for noodles and the plate was $6 so yes it's a very big difference.
