I went to this location to order 2 #2 combo meals and sweet and spicy wings. I had to repeat my order three times at the drive-through then when I pulled up to the window to pay, I had to repeat my order again to a different person. And I was told it was going to take 2 to 3 minutes for my food which I was ok with and I pulled forward. Once the employee brings out my food, I notice that she did not bring our drinks for our meal out. I informed her of this mistake, and she waved her finger in my face telling me no repeatedly. She told me I did not order the meals so I do not get a drink. I was trying to tell her that I asked for to number two meals but she kept walking away and waved her finger saying one second. She came back out, telling me to pull around back up to the drive-through window for a refund and my drinks. Once I got to the window, the manager was sitting there and did not address me or greet me or apologize for their mistake. I told her what the drinks were expecting to just get them and be able to pull off. Only for the managers turned to me saying it's $28 instead of 27. He did not inform me upfront that he was refunding my card and going to re-charge me. And was very unclear on why the dollar amount went up. Once I reviewed my receipt after paying and getting my drinks, I was not informed that a medium was an up charge because when I initially ordered, I was asked if I would like a medium or a large drink with my combo meals. There was no small option. I was very disappointed that I had to pay for the drinks, considering I had repeated my order a total of four times. I received no apology, and made them aware that I would be contacting corporate, but still no apology even after that. This Popeyes always has the worst service and messes up orders. This is not the first time I've experienced something like this at this establishment, but it will be the last. I will not be returning to this Popeyes until staff is changed, or some thing gets fixed. On top of all this when I got home to eat my food, my blackened chicken sandwiches were burnt, and...
Read moreI went to Popeyes Chicken in Grapevine and ordered some chicken and six of their new beignets. I was excited to try this new dessert. But when I got home, they were no where to be found! I thought, perhaps, they may have been hiding under the napkins in the large plastic bag the food came in. But alas, I could not find them.
I tried to call the store, but after a few rings, it picked up and hung up right away. So I decided to stop by the next day, because I had already changed from my work clothes to my home clothes and didn't want to change just to go pick up those beignets.
The next day, I drove up around 5:30 PM via the Drive Thru. And I told them what had happened. But they only offered me a free drink. If I have to drive all the way back because of YOUR mistake, should you not be a bit more generous?!
I talked to what seemed like the Manager, but she didn't know what to do more than offer a free drink. I told her she could have offered one of the meals or something a bit more substantial than the a free drink, which would have been more appropriate, considering THEY had dropped the ball on my meal, the day before. She seemed unsure of what to do. At that point, I drove away in frustration, thinking that I'll leave a review based on the customer service damage she had done. And to also let their corporate office know.
All because she didn't offer something a bit more substantial than a drink. And no one apologized for the mistake (not even the Manager). All this negative feedback and contacting the corporate office, which allcould have been avoided, by offering a bit of compensation (which costs very little, compared to having an upset customer). Maybe they'll train their Assistant Managers and Managers to handle situations like this, more gracefully than it was done with me.
Luckily, this isn't my favorite place for Chicken. My go-to is Church's Chicken, especially for their spicy chicken and biscuits! YMMV regarding the...
Read moreCame for the Chicken sandwich, stayed for tenders because I had waited about 20 minutes to get through the line..... Not going to lie, I came to try the sandwich, I also knew they probably were out. But i decided to go for it anyway. As I pulled up the drive through was out into the road. I parked and walked inside. That probably was my first mistake. There were about 7 people in front of me. Orders took forever to take as the one person behind the cash wrap (I know at lunch no way), whom was most likely a manager of some sort was overwhelmed at trying to accommodate all orders and customers coming up for serve ware and butter and honey. She was somewhat polite, but I could sense her huge frustration with the mounting line of customers and the growing list of items they were out of (shrimp, butter, chicken sandwiches of all kinds. This led to longer than normal times to order as customers had to choose different items then that one manager would bag up their orders and serve them. 2 employees in back cooking and one at the drive through. Obviously an issue with staffing at a peak time regardless of a hot item like the CS. I got 5 tenders and some fries. I was told to have a nice day, but the experience at the cash wrap was just ok. The tenders were pretty flimsy, not a lot of flavor, but the fries were pretty good. Good big Ice tea, unsweetened. The restaurant was for the most part clean, but now i smell like a chicken fryer. All in all, it was just an ok experience. Had I not wanted the CS, i wouldn't have had this place at the top of my list. I much rather prefer Chic FIl A. To me, their chicken is better and more flavorful. And the service, no matter how busy is impeccable. I will try again to get the CS, when they have more in stock and the craziness dyes down,...
