First and foremost the service was fantastic. Amazingly friendly and attentive staff. Being my first time here I ordered several items and none of them disappointed me. I had the electric lemonade for my alcoholic beverage and it was amazing. I couldn't taste the alcohol at all, it tasted like a very well mixed Arnold Palmer. For my appetizer I had the Brussels sprouts which were split Brussels sprouts fried with bacon, blue cheese vinaigrette, marcona almonds, granny smith apple, blue cheese crumbles, and parmesan cheese. Absolutely amazing, first Brussels sprouts I have had in NoCo that are better than DC Oakes. For my main courses I ordered the Bison Burger which was simple but phenomenal. Fantastically seasoned bison patty with white cheddar, crisp onion straws, lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. I asked for mid-rare and it came out exactly medium however, it was not over cooked. The bison patty was moist and tender while maintaining a fantastic flavor. This was accompanied by the seasonal vegetables that were sauteed in a pan and were amazingly delightful. Butternut squash and snow peas. I also ordered the Avocado Egg Sandwich which turned out to be a work of art. The bun was soft but wonderfully toasted, the hash brown on the bottom of the sandwich was the perfect thickness and was pan fried with care to create a delightful crust around the soft delicious potato within. The two eggs were cooked exactly over medium which was a delightful surprise. Avocado is one of those flavors that can very quickly overpower other flavors but just the right amount of smashed avocado was used as a topping on this sandwich and it really pulled all the flavors together. The sandwich was accompanied by the Cranberry Apple Coleslaw which was delightfully refreshing and light. I highly suggest stopping in to Austin's if you are in the area as my visit was such a delightfully refreshing experience. I very much look forward to my next visit.

After a visit to the Colorado Model Railroad Museum, we visited Austin’s American Grill which is within a quick walk from the museum. First time visit to the grill and has a nice lunch experience with our party of 4. Plenty of street parking right in front of the restaurant and not crowded at all for a Saturday afternoon. Table service was efficient, and this continued throughout the meal, which was at a great pace, allowing us to have a friendly casual lunch. Started off with the Queso and chips appetizer, which sadly may have been the low point of the food, as the cheese queso has broken which resulted in a slightly lumpy texture to the queso. Lunch entrees all were served quickly, consisting of Bison burger, Chicken sandwich, French Dip, and a kid’s corndog. Special mention on the French dip was the toasted roll, abundance of beef, and rich Au Jus for dipping, excellent! Topping off the meal was the kid’s sundae that was provided to our surprise. Overall, this is a gem of a restaurant tucked away in Greeley, CO, and would suggest if you are in the area stop in for nice meal with good food and great friendly service. Tips of your visit: Booths are big and comfortable, with nice sound barrier for quiet conversations.

We were pretty disappointed with the new "hip" place in town. Greeley needs a nicer restaurant....to bad this place missed the mark. The cornbread appetizer was decent...specially since we got it for happy hour price. The sirloin roast with brandy sauce was ok....nicely cooked....what ruined the plate was the dry, sticky, over mixed, and too huge of portion of "garlic" mashed potatoes. Not good and flavorless. We also got the bison (i think....maybe elk) meatloaf with spicy ketchup....meatloaf was very dry and seriously if it was other than plain ketchup, I'd be surprised....it sure didn't taste like it. Both dishes were covered in very crispy and could have been tasty fried onions, but dang were they salty. The front bar area looked nice and trendy...the back room was very plain and uninviting. I'll give it 6 months to a year and give it another try....Hopefully this is just the growing pains of a new restaurant. Very disappointed.

Update: Jenn at Austin’s reached out and let us know about some staff changes and we returned on 8/31. We are back for the previously aborted Prime Rib today.

I appreciate that they reached out.

Edit: We were eating there 2x a week. I got off work late and we hurried in to get the Prime Rib on Friday. The waitress left us sitting there almost 50 minutes when she came to the table she kept giving me nasty looks. I was in my work clothes and I work in construction. Anyway, we asked for the PR and she said they didn't have much left and one piece was an end. We said it was fine. She seemed angry over that too. I don'tknow what the problemwas beyond the fact that I had work clothes on and it seemedtooffend her. We sat and waited well over an hour and had to beg for drink refills from other servers. We had orderedan appetizerthat didn'tshow up for 30 minutes and every time Itried to get her attentionand she saw she wouldroll her eyes and look away. Finally, the food came and it was all so cold it felt like they took it out of tge fridgeand let it come to temp on the counter. My fiancegot her attention and showedher. She got furiousand told us that she alreadytold us it was the last pieces. We triedto explainthat it was that the food was cold and grease was even solid. She snatched the plates and stormed off. We paid and left. We are NEVER going back. I have never been treated so badly in my life. It was humiliating

I absolutely love the TriTip (not on the menu and only available after 4p) Ask your server about it. They cook it on a rotisserie. Comes out so juicy. I have had pretty much everything on and off the menu. I have never been disappointed with the flavors served here. In the beginning, a lot of the food like cheese dip and a few others were inconsistent bit it seems they are getting that under control. I love the atmosphere here. I just hate how early it closes. Everyone should try it at least once. It is on the steakhouse pricing side so be prepared but I have never spent over $100 with 2 adults and we get drinks sometimes. Oh! And on the bar! The drinks are top notch. They have great waitstaff and a manager is always on hand making sure...

Probably just hit them on a bad night.

Food:

Brussels sprouts appetizer was outstanding. Artichoke dip was pretty bland.

Baby blue salad was great except it came to the table dry - our server eventually brought me some dressing.

Rotisserie sirloin was chewy and bland, and the garlic mashed potatoes were very bland.

The hit or miss experience with the food would have probably been fine except our server SUPER SUCKED. She took probably 20 minutes to return to our table to take our order after dropping drinks. Someone else brought apps out and we were awkwardly trying to find something to do with our giant menus because she still hadn’t taken our order. She never brought silverware, we got our own from another table. She never brought app plates, someone else brought some. She never checked on us until she was asking if we wanted to see a dessert menu, while we all sat with empty glasses. Yes, she appeared to be the only server, but the restaurant was empty except for us and two other tables, both of which vacated while we were eating. She was RIGHT THERE doing side work and bussing near us, just not checking on us. Even when I asked for more water for my daughter she didn’t refill my drink. Girl, serving may not be for you. May I recommend the post office or perhaps the DMV if you want a job where you can aggressively ignore the people you serve?

I see lots of good reviews so I’m guessing we caught them on...
