I hate to leave a 1 star review because of how much I used to enjoy dining here. Lately Ive been noticing some "shrinkflation" as we in self aclaimed critic community likes to say. For some reason they thought it was a good idea to stop including the texas toast with the combos. Why? Im guessing because the owners are too cheap to care about their customers, as is the usual for late-stage capitalism. I asked the workers why the bread is still with the Nashville tender and its just to soak up the oil, so why is it added when its not intended to be eaten, but not when a customer would actually enjoy a carby side snack. I speculate its to inflate the supply and demand of purchasing the toast seperately. Also, why was the lemon berry acai removed from the soda machine? This was genuinely my favorite soda and to see it be replaced with something I could get literally anywhere else. PLEASE BRING BACK LEMON BERRY ACAI!! They replaced it when they have two different cream sodas, just pick a cream soda and stick to it its not that hard!! I also recently ordered their Nashville Cheese or whatever hipster name they called it, it tasted weird it may be a cheddar of sorts. Why not use mozzarella like normal. Maybe its because they are trying to cover up the fact they stole the idea from the Chilis triple dipper. Its even the exact same shape. Are we that shameless that stealing from Dave's and Canes wasnt enough? They also recently changed the ice cream. I have loved sammies from its opening and I hate to see these GREEDY DESPERATE changes ruin what I love. Everytime I go I scribble down my thoughts, and the changes they make, in my handy food critic notepad, and this is months if not years worth frustrations put into a review. I hate to make this review, but I had to crack into my handy dandy critic notepad to express these frustrations as they seem to not stop. This must be why wing shack moved. If I was the owner of wing shack, I wouldn't want to be near who ever owns this restaurant I assume there must be beef between the owners or something. Goodbye sammies my love, the renowned critic Dan will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust opened on Friday, 3/5/21, we tried them on Saturday after seeing a review on Google Maps about a new restaurant in Greeley. Thought it was odd to open a Chicken Sandwich joint beside the Wing Shack, but I guess it's a new side project of Wing Shack. Only a few tables inside, but they currently have dine-in available, as well as pick up.
I ordered the Spicy Sami (habenero ranch), my fiance got the Buff Sami (Buffalo sauce and Bleu Cheese Crumbles). Mine was very good, his was better! Really delicious ingredients: super tasty chicken fingers and breading, fresh vegetables, flavorful sauces, and greasey (but great) Texas Toast! We bought an order of 8 tenders and several sauces to try later as well.
French Fries are outstanding, and I would come here for those alone (but with chicken and sauces this good, there's no shortage of reasons to return)! The fries are reminiscent of Burger King fries (stay with me on this) from the Late 90s / Early 2000s, where it's almost as if they're battered because there's an outer crispness that adds to the French Fry goodness!
The soda machine is "Stubborn" brand (a Pepsi product) that is rich with syrupy goodness (I didn't pay attention, but it tasted more like cane sugar soda), and plenty of great flavors to choose from! I mixed a glass of Black Cherry (with Tarragon), Lemon + Acai, and Pineapple Cream Soda which turned out fantastic.
Greely / Evans has needed a fried chicken spot, and I was remorseful Raising Canes was so far away, but this will be a new go-to, especially in late nights when we're gaming or watching movies and can't be bothered to cook! They're open 'til 10pm, so we'll be all over that for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start out by saying the staff was not the issue. I have never tried this place before and I love chicken/fried chicken. I was hungry so thought I would try this place out. I go in and I do think it's cool that they have screens to make your order but I couldn't help notice how dead it was inside too. I order the regular Sammie sandwich with fries. Had the sauces put on it too. This was a to go order so I was a bit eager to dive in when I got back. I open it and notice how big the pieces of tenders was so I thought that was a good sign. Lots of fries too especially for one person. I bite into it a couple times and notice that all I taste is salt.... gross....I also notice how hard the breading is which means I'm feeling very certain that it's not fresh and was previously frozen. The breading was a hard shell basically. Some areas sticking to the chicken and most of it coming off (see in photos). I'm sorry but it was so bad for these reasons. If I wanted to eat this quality chicken, I would've bought something at the grocery store in the frozen section. The fries were good though and I actually like them compared to other popular places but the sandwich is supposed to be the main part of the meal and I got a mouth full of salt... I will never be returning unless it's for some fries. I'm sorry but whoever owns this restaurant really needs to revaluate how the chicken is prepped, breaded, and created. Also I think the logo isn't very noticeable as in very typical. I'm an artist so if this joint would like some help on that, I can draw up some options. No negative intentions. I'm not happy I spent my money here when I could've went somewhere else for better...
