Little Tokyo Restaurant — Restaurant in Green Bay

I wish I walked out when I saw the prices however upon asking and ordering the waitress assured me it was a big portion especially if my kids wanted to share it. I said I planned to share with them as I do most places as I’m a small woman and they’re toddlers who together rarely finish a typical kids size meal and I never can finish an adult meal anywhere when we go out. This has worked out almost everywhere. She assured me it was several slices of chicken so should be plenty. Instead it comes out and it’s a tiny amount of chicken chopped up on a skillet that smells like an awful fajita. No where on the menu or in our conversation prior to ordering is this mentioned. Also when a customer orders items plain or without spice etc for kids maybe mention how it’s going to come or include peppers, mushroom etc things kids don’t typically eat. Or put it on your menu. My kids are great healthy eaters and if something like broccoli with the zucchini would have been fine but what’s included should be listed so a customer can order something without if needed especially for food allergy purposes. I’m pretty irritated but I try to pull the chicken off of it and divide on plates anyway now realizing the entire thing was basically peppers and mushrooms. We eat anyway though it didn’t taste great. My kids aren’t picky but one ate it though said eh and ugh a lot and the other basically refused it. A kid who devours healthy food everyday. My family ordered sushi so we waited for theirs to come out. Sushi was priced well but came out smaller than we’re used to and one was messed up/not as ordered. Waitress replaced but they weren’t impressed overall with the taste of the sushi. And we get sushi all over from here and California. My kids within minutes of leaving said they were hungry and had to feed them again of course after paying for this mediocre dinner....

I am unsure how this restaurant scored a 4.4 out of 5 stars. The food was horrible. We ordered the soft shell crab (it was ok, not very fresh) as an appetizer, the only thing we ate. We also ordered the spider roll, which was ok... not fresh. But the spicy tuna and shrimp roll was horrible. Most spicy rolls are made with some type of siracha sauce.... I have no clue what was in those rolls....I believe it may have been wasabi....so the last dish we ordered was the Yakisabi (not sure of the spelling) noodles... which taste like it had cinnamon and brown sugar in it... and the shrimp were so fishy. Our bill was $57.00... so needless to say our appetizer was the only thing we finished. I'm not sure if the waitress had an issue with us but she never checked on us like the other tables she had. We waited almost 20 minutes to get the appetizer and lemon we requested when she took the drink order. After our appetizer....we waited an additional 25+ minutes to get our 3 rolls and 1 entree. I had to ask for more water almost 40mins of being there. Overall, it sucked... point blank. I have never left a $5 tip... I generally leave around $15-20 depending on service and the total of the bill....My 9 yo seemed to believe $5 was too much. Never again. She never even offered a discount.... not that I'm ever looking for a discount...but she didn't care is the point bc she never asked...

Came in with a large group, 12 of us, with 1 arriving about half and hour after the first 9 and two arriving about an hour after the first 9. Had a reservation ahead of time so getting a table was no problem.

Service was painfully slow. The guy who came in half an hour late had to wait and hour to get a drink. The rest of us already had ours so really shouldn’t have been a problem, and the place wasn’t that busy.

All told, we finally got our food about 2 hours after we arrived. It was very good, but kinda expensive even for sushi. Wife and I had 4 rolls and three orders of sushi (just fish and rice) and bill was close to $100. Could have gone to sushi lovers and paid half the price and been out a hour earlier.

I would give them another try, because they have Thai and noodle options that looked good and not so outrageously priced, but if this repeats itself I will not go back.

Update: we have been back twice since this review with smaller groups and have had no issue with service. Must have been...
