Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary — Local services in Green Bay

I first loved following and supporting this facility. I was so excited to see that they brought back the clinics. I took 2 cats and a dog there at this most recent one. All was great. Until I was told to take my cat to the ER for a list of things they saw in a 2 minute exam. I went directly to the ER for hours for them to say I have the healthiest cat. I called multiple times to get directed to the supervisor to talk about some compensation as nothing was wrong with my cat and I have this large vet bill. On top of the $25 for their exam at the clinic. I called 3 times before I was ever told the correct day to contact the supervisor. Each Time I was met with rude and short staff. I talked to the supervisor today who is also the vet who saw my cat with no luck. She did not care about what I had to day and refused to help in anyway. I had my car repaired and picked it up; made a trip to a store located relatively close & to my surprise when I came out was a tiny orange kitten. Thankfully I was able to safely coax the scared (but unharmed) kitten out with treats and sweet talk! I contacted Safe Haven and without hesitation arrangements were made to sure the safety of the little kitten. I am very happy that I decided to contact Safe Haven VS just bringing the kitten to the local humane society. I truly feel it was a more “humane” and I felt better about it and didn’t leave wondering whether the kitten would be truly cared for and end up in the right hands and a loving home. They point blank will refuse your application without explanation even if you have cats already that are well cared for. The application process was long and I heard nothing for weeks. They did not contact my employer or vets and have no explanation for the conclusion they made other then they just refused it. They claim they need to pay for recent bills but then when you apply to give a cat a loving home they refuse. There is absolutely no excuse for this rude behavior! Adopt from a real humane society they treat people better than this and the cats too! Don’t adopt from here! Stay away!!!!
