McDonald's — Restaurant in Green Oak Charter Township

Not that I think anyone reads or cares about this review because it’s McDonald’s but I’ve been coming here long as I can remember, it used to be good until Covid hit then ever since then they can’t seem to get it together. There food always come out differently, bagels are either soft or toasted 6 times after sitting out all night, the biscuits either melt In your hand or hard as a rock and inedible, the $3 hash brown is soaked in grease and most of the time overcooked, the sausage burritos are filled with all cheese or no cheese. My drinks every time have the drink itself on the outside of it making the cups sticky, all the employee has to do is wipe drinks down before serving but they don’t care, I LOVE sticky syrup and not wiped off drink on the outside of my cups always needing napkins. This place constantly is understaffed while half the staff there is useless not helping the team. The only reason I’m writing this is because I’m so tired of this McDonald’s, all I want is my food without hating my life for making the choice to come here. I rarely come but when I do I hate my life because nothing ever goes right and everything turns out horrible. It ruins my mornings every time I come here wasting my time. like just close if it takes you 30 minutes to give me food. That’s not fast food brother this is blasphemy. I get food faster at restaurants. I could of made the exact food I ordered at home for cheaper and quicker. Sure it doesn’t taste like the McDonald’s we love but shoot, atleast I don’t have to deal with ptsd freaking out in my car because it’s just food I know it doesn’t take this long. I know I’m coming back eventually but less and less because every time I come I hate it more and more....

About 3 months ago, though, something changed. The morning staff is still pretty great. But after 11ish a.m., the employee quality plummets. When it comes to late-night, even the manager is cranky and pretty rude.

The accuracy now is terrible! When I order crispy chicken on a sandwich, I get grilled. If I ask for apples with a happy meal, they give fries. Probably once every 4 visits an item will be missing altogether! And dont even think about asking for extra pickles. You will get 3 pickles. Even my 5 year old, before opening her "cheeseburger with extra pickles," will say, "I bet there will only be 3."

When ordering chicken tenders, more often than not they're dried out and cold. The shake machine is often being cleaned (meaning shakes are unavailable) during afternoon/evening hours.

Nobody likes to be "that person" holdung up the drive-thru lane. However, at this McDonald's, I highly recommend checking your order while you're still at the window. Definitely.

New comment: last night I spent 28 minutes in the Drive-Thru. There were a total of 4 cars in front of me. When, after sitting at a vacant window for over 20 minutes, an employee showed up, she did not apologize. Apparently, they were understaffed. You're telling me! Went through drive through at 1:30-2:00 am ordered chicken nugget meal and double cheeseburgers. Was told that any chicken product was gonna take 15 to 20 minutes, working at a fast food restaurant prior myself, knowing that usually chicken in a fryer even a fillet only takes seven minutes to cook and realizing that the crew was lazy And trying to disregard guest I went ahead and I ordered the chicken nugget meal. We still waited the entire 20 minutes to be served soggy cold, not fresh chicken nuggets and the cheeseburgers. French fries were not even fresh. I was beyond irritated And decided not to call the Crew that night, but to discuss it in the morning. I called and spoke with a manager, who is mail this morning could not understand his name who stated that he would tell the GM and did an offer a solution or try to rectify the situation. Terrible customer service! I told him even if they were Cleaning the fryers, You always keep one up and running just for the customers and rotate, The manager, if you would call him that didn’t even Carrie was speaking to somebody while he was listening to my complaint so, didn’t seem to care.
