I’ve been getting Matcha at Starbucks for 25 years. This year they changed to the weakest Matcha powder I’ve ever tasted. So I started ordering extra scoops just to equal the correct taste.
Then the pricing structure changed this summer. Extra Matcha is $.80 a scoop. I have to pay an extra $4 for the drink I’ve enjoyed for decades. NOPE! I make my own at home now for less than $1/cup.
I’ve gone back a few times when I forgot to make my own at home. Each time it’s been worse. They recently turned on DoorDash, so often there’s zero parking & the store is so busy that employees barely have time to look up let alone say hi to customers. And this is a place where employees greeted me by name for 3 years!
My order used to be sitting on the counter when I walked in. No. Now it’s 5-10 min more than the estimate in the app. Definitely don’t order pick up if you have someplace to be after. Because you will be late!
Today was the last straw. The gal didn’t have the matcha scoop, so she was using a regular spoon & eyeballing it. Barely any went in at all. And when she took the lid off the blender, she realized she had forgotten to put in the Frappuccino base. So then I had to wait longer while she did it all over again. All of that & the drink had ZERO Matcha taste. It was basically sugar milk. I had to take it home & add my own matcha powder just to make it drinkable.
If you complain to the Starbucks 800 number, they say you should’ve asked the barista to remake the drink. Oh, and wait 10 more friggin minutes??? I’m so done. I deleted my Starbucks account after having it for 25 years.
This company made almost $4 billion profit in 2024 bc the drinks are crappier & employees get paid crap while the CEO toodles all over the country in his jet....
Read moreI feel bad for ever leaving a bad review. we all have bad days. I come here every day now. I drive past 2 other starbucks just to come to this one because mainly the service is PHENOMENAL. My drinks are always perfect and they always have me in and out in an understandable time frame. Quick if nobody is there. remember people they take online drive thru and walk ins.... thats a lot. but what I'm most proud of this place for is the parking lot. I cannot stand disgusting trash filled parking lots. every time I come here it's clean so yea I'm gonna make that extra effort to keep it clean. last but not least the employees are very kind. they are never rude and these people really know how to run a busy starbucks. ive been to a lot over the years and I've never seen one stay so well organized and consistent during peek hours. and on top of all that they are very very kind here. I cant emphasize that enough. if you get Andy or Matt you better show them kindness and gratitude because those are 2 very kind souls who know how to give it back 10 fold. its men like this that keep my faith in humanity. no matter how bad my day is or what's going on these guys make it so much better. its the little...

So I'm waiting 2 to 3 mins to get my order taken and this American guy walks in, walk up and this short American girl with glasses behind the counter starts to serve him before me and I look at her and tell her" really your gona serve him before me and I came in before him. I am so mad oh but wait I think it has to do with my skin color. I'm Islander and I am brown skinned, the other gentleman was American Caucasian white skinned, it seemed like they didn't want to deal with darker skin colored people.
