Hostess was racist......Honestly my second time coming to this location. First off we were a party of 6 my party of 3 got there early because I really need my morning coffee so I figured we'll go sit have our drinks, order some food and eat while we waited for the mom and 2 toddlers if you have kids you know what it's like to get out with 2 so we'll eat a little while we waited. We got to the restaurant and there was a table available for 6 but the hostess refuse to sit us until everyone in our party was there, 15 minutes in someone went up to pay and she told them cash only because the register is out and said there's a sign on the door so she is not verbally telling you when you walk in that it's cash only so now we had to ask the other person to stop and get cash which delayed her even more, mind you half of the people didn't even notice the small hand written sign on the door she expects people to read a hand written sign written in pen not even marker that can catch your attention. We were waiting for almost an hour she still refuse to sit us didn't offer water or anything (I mean I understand not wanting to give up the table in case everyone didn't show up but the fact that we WAITED that long it means our party was still coming) then as soon as the mom and the kids were walking up to the door a party of 5 showed up they had a booth that would fit the party of 5 but the hostess said word for word "sit them, we can't worry about them" pointing to us as the waitress was trying to tell her "they've been waiting" (everyone in that party was white) she didn't even ask how much longer until the rest of your party gets here she completely disregarded us. Never had I went to a place to eat and was not able to sit and order while I waited for the rest of my party to show up. The first time we were there their was another incident with another customer who ended up leaving her entire meal untouched. The regulars at this place get treated really well but if you're a once in a while "er' good luck. I will not be going back which is a pity because the food is pretty decent but that is no way to treat people they could have at least offer us a coffee or something we would have happily paid for it but nope nothing. Service has been bad both times we went but this is the last time I will...
Read moreI’m not one to typically leave reviews, but my experience today at Pete’s place bothered me more than any other dining experience I’ve had. Half of the restaurant was empty, so we figured it was a good time to go in. Upon arrival for our party of 5, it took us about 20 minutes to be greeted, then another 10 for us to get drinks. After placing our food order, which we waited almost an hour for, our server straight up ignored us and looked away from us as she was walking by our table. Considering we were in the middle of the restaurant, that’s something that’s pretty easy to notice. When our food did arrive, everybodies food came out completely wrong. Missing sides, wrong entrees, overcooked entrees, the whole nine. My wife’s drink was empty about 20 minutes after sitting down, and we were told that the drink will be refilled “right away”. It never was. After attempting to get everything fixed, which took another 20 minutes, I was asked if I wanted my food fixed. I told them “not if it’s going to take another hour”. I was then chastised then talked to like I didn’t know what I was talking about to my server, trying to tell me that this food that is obviously burnt is not cooked to the specifications asked. After again being ignored, we were told the check was on the way. The check took another 15 minutes after this.
I’ve worked in the restaurant business for 16 years now. If food takes more than 10-15 minutes, I go to my tables, let them know the situation, and involve management if needed. The fact that we were ignored except for taking our orders(and our money), is shameful to say the least. If this was any other restaurant, if service was given the way it was given, heads would roll. We tried this place out because we wanted to step out of our comfort zone which is Moms Kitchen, needless to say, we learned our lesson. Hopefully one day management can get a handle on their employees by not allowing them to insult the people that keep the lights on in...
Read moreWe only have it one star because of the good food. Service and staff very poor, no customer service at all, rude staff that bring their bad moods from home. I get it we all have bad days but we have more than one ocasión where we came in and of the bat the cash out/ hostess. Was extremely rude, and short she did not say hello or good morning or even good buy when we went to leave we said. Thank you a few times she did not acknowledge. We have 3 small kids under 10 and our waitress was clearly high on opioids. And slouching and literally falling asleep writing our order in the notepad. We have an 18 month old and her note pad was like 2 inches from her head she kept nodding out. It was extremely uncomfortable even our oldest mentioned it being “drunk.” They took forever bringing our drinks (not food) we waited over 15 minutes for a coffee, water and a soda. This last time we came in with our kids again and we were told there were no more booths when there was clearly 3 open, we would have waited but Tammy being pushy wanted us to sit next to the door right away. My wife and I decided to leave and I said they were clearly having a bad attitude and rude specially in front of the children. We tend to go once or twice a week, this place has lost our business, it’s unfortunate because the food is great but the place is very uncomfortable specially with people working in the restaurant business, keep your attitudes at home and make sure people with severe drug problems don’t work around a family place that brings...
