If you want to encounter incompetent managers and confrontational cooks come to the Jog and Lake Worth Wendys!!!!! I went to Wendy's to pick up a DoorDash order. The man at the counter was trying to find it in their system and was having trouble, so he asked his manager for help. His manager said someone already picked up the order and just walked away. Didn't give us any resolution or anything, just walked away. The kind man working the front counter was trying to problem solve and was trying to get the order remade so we could deliver the order to the doordash customer. Then the manager came out with an attitude saying they're not remaking the order because someone else already picked it up. I'm okay with that decision, but what I am not okay with his is his horrible attitude. He was acting like it was our fault and insinuating we were scamming Wendys, when in fact my husband had the person's name of the order and order number currently in the app and was able to show them. This was not our fault and to be treated with bad attitudes from the manager was unacceptable. Then some woman working the grill came up front with even more attitude and raising her voice at my husband saying "I already made the chicken sandwich". Nobody said she didn't. This was all a misunderstanding with Doordash's system and Wendy's online ordering system. That woman had no right to leave her work station raising her voice like that to my husband and I. Again, with the insinuation that we were doing something wrong. She then had the audacity to throw her hands up in the air in anger as she walked away from the situation that had nothing to do with her. And do you want to know what the manager did? Nothing! At least the kind man working the front counter apologized for that woman's terrible customer service and behavior. The woman was rude and made us feel uncomfortable when the situation had nothing to do with her. We were just trying to figure out what was going on because we were assigned the order and now all the manager can say is someone already picked it up. The manager was incompetent and rude. He did not even try to solve the problem except walk away and let his cook antagonize us with absolutely no repercussions. This Wendys has horrible service and I DO NOT recommend coming here if you are a Dasher or even as a customer. Even in past experiences when going through the drive thru the employees were incredibly rude. We went one time around 12:15am and they close at 1am, and when we got to the window one of their employees said " you know we are closing, right?". It's my understanding that we came 45 minutes before close. Even if we came 5 mins before close that would have been an unacceptable remark. If you're open until 1am, you serve until then and don't try to make your customers feel bad for ordering. We asked several times if someone could take our order and the only response we got was "one second." We had a line of cars stacked behind us so after waiting another 5mins we proceeded to the window to place our order. The guy at the window ignored us for several more minutes before acknowledging our presence. He finally opened the window and very rudely told us that we should not have driven to the window because he was just about to take our order at the speaker. We asked if he could take our order and he refused us and shut the window on our face. When we didn't leave, he asked his manager to come talk to us. The manager came over and told us that they could not take our order and that we needed to get back in line again in order for them to serve us. Her exact words to us were "what do you want me to do?" All we wanted was for someone to take our order after waiting for so long. My boyfriend and I both remained calm the entire time pleading for them to make an exception since we had been waiting for so long already. The manager continue to refuse to service us so we left. We are in complete shock at the lack of customer service at this location. We have nothing against Wendy's, but we will never go to this location again. a small contribution to that percent is employee attitude. i work in customer service, so i know what is expected. when someone acts like they don't want to work at Wendy's, then they should get another job.
A slightly larger portion of the percentile is the lack of quality of food. i ordered two large fries today, they even passed through the managers hands, and both were filled only halfway. it is literally the same amount of a medium. maybe less. other occasional food quality problems exist, but it is a fast food joint, so whatever. i get it.
However, the biggest contribution to this is simply the fact that the Wendy's was CLOSED when the sign clearly said they were open. no reason. no body in the building. it was Friday night 30 minutes before they closed and the building was shut down. know this because i timed it with my schedule. i took a picture too. took that picture to another Wendy's. got my food from there. i got home by the time they were actually supposed to be closed.
