First Watch — Restaurant in Greensboro

First visit last week was great. We were seated quickly, had fast, friendly service, and the food was good (although I wasn’t prepared for the cheese actually baked on the outside of both sides of my sandwich bread, I mean it was delish but wow a little much - I ordered a half sandwich and cup of soup thinking it would be light and fairly healthy). Overall we were impressed. Second visit today was a completely different story. We waited a long time before a server came over to our table. Our server was very nice, but the food took way too long to come out, and my plate had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for too long - the eggs had that doughy, dry, dark outer layer that happens when they sit, and the grated cheese sprinkled on my potatoes had molded them together. The cash register and hostess station were not consistently manned, slowing customer throughput. Our waitress was not very attentive even though the lunch crowd was thinning out by then-(no offer of drink refill, she did not check to see if food was OK or if anything else was needed). We had to wait a long time to get our bill and take home box (while she was in the kitchen area talking, which I know because I went looking for her so we could leave). I asked another waitress to bring us a take home box, but she never returned to the table. I think at least some of the wait staff need some additional customer...
