Golden Wok — Restaurant in Greensboro

I was in the plaza doing some shopping and decided to grab something in before calling it a night. As I departed from Ross, Golden Wok caught my eye so I decided to hear over!

Before walking in, you could see the cleanliness of the restaurant from the outside. It’s super bright with vibrant colors which adds to the curb appeal and draws you in. Upon arriving at the county I was immediately greeted and presented with a menu. As I figured out what I wanted, the aromas of fresh garlic and the sounds of rice being fried captured my attention and made me even more hungry. LoL!!!

Deciding on the General Tso Chicken combo and substituting the Vegetable Fried Rice for Pork Fried Rice, I placed my order and took a seat, paid, and took a seat.

As I was waiting for my food, I could tell it was going to be a good dish. People were in and out picking up their orders and you could tell by how they interacted with the cashier that they were repeat customers. This is always a good sign.

Upon receiving my food I was once again captured by the aroma. This time it was the aromas of General Tso Chicken and a fresh out of the grease Pork Egg Roll!! Oh yeah… Let’s Eat!!!

Upon opening my tray the visual alone let me know this was going to be a good eat. LoL.

The General Tso Chicken was perfectly made. Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The sauce has a perfect level of spice with a hint of sweet. I’m talking goooooooddddddddd. Truly a 10 out of 10.

The Pork Fried Rice wasn’t dry, had the perfect golden fried color and tender meaty chunks of pork.

The Pork Egg Roll was packed full of fresh fixings and fried to golden egg roll perfection.

First thing first... YUM!!!

This food was so delicious, the best Chinese food that I have had in a long time. I found myself constantly saying this is so good. I really appreciated the cleanliness in the restaurant in the speed at which the workers we're working. They had at least six chefs cooking in the back. All employees were wearing masks and you could tell that they were working at lightning speed to push out the orders quickly. Only three customers are allowed in at 1 time. And they have somebody else answering the phones had never stop ringing. They really are super busy. Be patient, I would definitely recommend you try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. It definitely hit the spot. It was so look delicious. I will definitely be back again. Only one thing I wish that they had homemade Duck Sauce and not the packets, that would have been the tip of the iceberg and would have made it perfect. Most likely it's way too busy for them to have to stop to make the homemade duck sauce. But I hope the next time I come they will have it. But all in all great job delicious food seriously. Did I mention I drove all the way from High Point to come...

Second time ordering from here and this former NY gal is sooooo happy - I've found my go to spot!! Edward (I think is the manager?) is super personable and this place is seriously THE BEST CHINESE FOOD you'll come across on the east coast. We ordered enough food for an army. It was just me and my hubby, but we'll be in foodie bliss for a while! Wonton soup was just like my grandparents used to make... egg rolls tasty. Boneless ribs were perfect. Ordered 3 different pork dishes: lo mein, fried rice and egg foo young. Beef dish was with Chinese veggies and the chicken dish was sweet and sour - each as amazing as the last. Ate like kings and super satisfied. Next visit, looking forward to trying a seafood dish. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place - hoping they'll expand and open up a place here in Reidsville!!

⭐️Update: Been a long time since we'd gone back. Last order resulted in a huge roach infestation. We had to have the house completely exterminated, (not cheap!!) and it took MANY extermination spraying visits before I stopped seeing them. Unfortunately, I know enough, to know that I'll pass on the extra protein.
