The most disappointing experience I have had with Applebees. I very rarely leave reviews and am too frustrated not to. I was attempting to order a curbside pickup order and utilize the 20 free wings with $40 purchase, for the Super Bowl. My family and I were coming from St Johns and intended to pick up the order on our way through town. I spent 35 minutes attempting to make this order and called twice. The online option would not allow me to select more than one flavor of wings and so I called in attempt to see if I could place the order via phone. The first time I called, the girl told me that I could only utilize that promotion with an online order and not via phone. She stated that I would need to add a note with flavor requests during purchase or call back to update the order. After several failed attempts to apply the free 20 wings promo, I called a second time. I explained to a different girl the situation. She put me on hold for 8 min and 45 seconds while she spoke with her manager. When she came back on she stated that the order needed to be placed before the Super Bowl. I frustratingly stated that I had called and been attempting to place the order before 6. I asked to speak to the manager, who stated his name was Jackson. Jackson expressed that this is a corporate concern and that we would have to call corporate to resolve after we had already been on the phone for 35 minutes. He offered zero solutions or help, even when he stated this has happened multiple times today. I was not looking for a discount of any sort and literally just wanted help placing the order I had been attempting to, even if that meant we couldnāt utilized the promo Greenville Applebees listed on their website. Needless to say, my family did not get wings for the game, and in fact missed the start of the game due to this extremely disappointing situation. We will not be returning...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWalked in at 5:15, they didn't appear to be busy, since there was only 2 of us ( out celebrating our 41st anniversary ) we just wanted a small booth, so the nice hostess offered one in the first section but said it would be about 5 minutes as the server wasn't here yet. We said no problem went to the bar and sat and ordered a drink. About 10 minutes later we sat at our table looking over the menu. The place started filling up, the table behind us were being served and across from us sat down. I needed some water so I went back up to the bar to get 2 glasses and the nice bartender said she would bring them right over. When she set them down she asked if we had a server yet, which we didn't, she apologized and offered to take our order we said just start us off with some asian boneless wings, and she would find out who our server was. Just after that the same server that was waiting on the tables all around us apologized and said she didn't realize we were in her section. She took our dinner order and ordered another beer, shortly after that a gal set down a plate saying here is your honey bbq wings and kept walking. A few minutes later we told the server those aren't the wings we ordered and she took them back to the kitchen. Appeared a few minutes later with same plate and said those were the right wings. Since we hadn't ordered them before we weren't sure what the sauce looked like. And you can guess what happened next, they were cold. Realized we didn't have any silverware, asked hostess for some, he said ask the server, knew that would take a while, looked in basket, luckily 2 sets left. Finally got the beer after asking about it, finished our drinks and came to the conclusion this was not going to get any better, slapped $5.00 on the table to cover the Coors light and said we were leaving. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was in the Applebeeās establishment 9/2/2023 at 10:45pm or so. I came inside with 2 friends of mine, with who we had been LIGHTLY drinking beforehand.
We are seated quickly with no problems.
The waitress comes and asks what drinks we would like. My boyfriend orders a water, our friend orders a Coors, and after some debate and asking the waitress what I should order, what is the best drink, and what are the $5 Muchos, etc I order a Tipsy Sunset.
After 10-15 minutes of waiting, they bring our friend his drink and say I was ātoo tipsy to serveā and that they ādidnāt know what I ātookā priorā to coming in. She tried to offer me a soda, but I said I will drink the water already previously served to me.
After another 15 minutes of waiting, I ask if I may be served and they still say I am unable to.
After hearing this news, I leave because I will not have a business disrespect me just because I made conversation with a server. They gave no reasons to why I could not be served, and it unfortunately ruined my mood and appetite the rest of the evening.
I would LOVE for the Applebees of Greenville to tell me what I did wrong, and how I was āunable to be...
