Excellent choice for a special occasion event! Despite a last-minute request to book the entire space for a wake and last-minute changes in the number of guests we were expecting, Robin was exceedingly accommodating, understanding, and flexible. Her price was so fair and reasonable we initially thought it was a mistake. Since we live out-of-state, Robin’s responsiveness and willingness to help us arrange this event via email was a lifesaver. On the day of the wake, she went out of her way to accommodate our needs setting up flowers and tablecloths after the shop closed. She greeted our diverse and multi-generational guests with kindness and made sure everyone felt welcome and cared for. Her beautiful spread of high-quality ingredients included fresh-baked assorted bagels, gourmet lox, pastrami, shmears, field greens, fresh fruit, homemade potato salad and coleslaw, deli fixings, pastries, and desserts. We had access to the soda machine, artisan teas, and freshly brewed coffee. Robin had out of town guests, so Jeff stayed with us the whole time, made sure our needs were cared for, and then bagged up all the leftovers so they could be taken home. Many of our guests originally came from New York, and Greenfield’s reminded us of an authentic old-fashioned New York deli --- at a time when local merchants in the past served the individuals in their communities with great care and responsibility. If you are looking for high-quality delicious food, a neighborhood atmosphere, flexibility, responsiveness, and truly caring customer service at fair and reasonable prices, Greenfields is...
Read moreVery disappointed in their customer service. I came here as a delivery driver pick up. I had mentioned to my partner that we should check out this place sometime, and so was excited to explore a bit when we got the pick up order. Walked in, there was NO sign to where the line started. And only two people inside. We decided to stand behind the two people who said they hadn’t ordered yet. We stood there for about 8 minutes with no acknowledgement. A short lady with dark brown or black hair spoke up that if we wanted to be served we needed to move to the line on the other side. She said since the man in front of us had been there awhile that he could go first but that WE needed to go back to the line. We said we were there and had been standing behind the man just as long. She said that the people on the other side of the wall were there before us and rolled her eyes. She had quite an attitude. The man in front of us who was apparently a regular decided to leave because of her poor customer service. There was absolutely no one on the other side of the wall when we came in. I’m sure if the owner checked the security cameras they would see this. This was very sad and has definitely made my mind that I will NEVER give them my personal business. Disappointed. This was Tuesday February 2nd and pick up was at 10:44am. EDIT: it was the verdae location next to burger king. Check time line between 10:30 and 10:45. I had a red jacket on and was...
Read moreAmazing bagels, been coming for 14 years, but getting tired of them always being out of bagels a couple hours after opening. Worth visiting if you can get there when they open. I don't have the luxury of visiting around their hours, so I rarely get there at breakfast. They try to minimize any leftover bagels, but since they haven't changed the place in 14 years they're clearly not running any analytics on which items run out first (or when someone buys blueberry, they might actually be buying it because they preferred poppy which is already out). I now only try to come once every few months and still no luck. I would be buying 12-24 bagels each visit, but they never have more than 2-3 of their bad flavors by 11am. They're minimizing obsolescence, but also minimizing some potential sales. (They tell me to place an order for the next day, but I may not always forecast or want to plan my Sat/Sun around having to be special ordering). Maybe they think I'll just buy something else, but that's just not always true. The bagel type makes or breaks the lunch sandwich. Only having chocolate chip and sundried tomato isn't acceptable by lunch time. If they see they're running low, they need to be willing to bake another batch. I was told today that they only make the bagels once in the morning. Amazing food when...
