I had to wait at least 5 minutes before anyone came to the front counter - a line actually started to form behind me. They weren't busy at all. There were only 2 other customers in the building and they already had their meals. At every other location I've ever been to there is always someone at the front counter at all times to greet people. This came off unprofessional to me. The cashier lacked customer service skills. He wasn't rude, he just seemed in a daze. The table I approached was dirty. I took it upon myself to throw away the items that were left there so I could sit there. On a positive note, the food was good. Besides the table I chose to sit at, the rest of the resturaunt was clean and well taken care of. I would reccommend training the employees here on customer service. Again, they weren't rude, they just didn't seem to care - like their heads were in the clouds. When I picked up my food from the window, the man behind the counter slid it toward me but continued to talk to another employee without even looking my way. I was there for 4-5 hours working on a project on my lap top and no one ever checked on me to see if I was okay/needed a refill/etc. I know the employees don't technically have to do that, but as long as I stayed there it would've been nice - it's the gesture that counts. I didn't feel valued as a customer at this location. Compared to other locations (and I've been to several across the country) this is the first one that isn't consistent with the rest. This location is mediocre...
Read morePanera has changed, and this one in particular is an example of what not to do when you own a franchise.
They seem to have pretty much quit buying any fresh or quality ingredients, so, for example, their grain bowl is made primarily of rice instead of quinoa, their sandwiches once lush with vegetables are now literally just a bit of meat and cheese between bread. Check the menu; notice a distinct lack of lettuce or fresh ingredients in any of the options? Sorta strange a Panera, known for good and healthy eats, would only be offering empty calories and sandwiches you could make at home, isn’t it?
They also frequently send “meal ready” texts early, leaving customers waiting even though the food was supposedly ready 25 minutes ago. Photo of my “egg white” breakfast sandwich below.
If you’re road tripping, keep driving and hit up the Starbucks next door, the Panera in Rockwall, or the wood-oven pizza joint in downtown Sulphur Springs.
I’ll modify this review if Panera’s...
Read moreI have visited the Greenville Panera twice. Both times my order was messed up. The staff does not bother to greet the customer, nor do they inform the customer that they have run out of a certain food item that is listed on their menu. They did not have a food item such as Chedder Cheese, so they made my sandwich without Chedder Cheese. When I went up to inquire about my sandwich without cheese they then informed me they had run out of cheese and didn't put cheese on it. They apologized and then told me how they should have handled it, BUT DIDN'T!! So I had no other options offered to me by Panera upon knowing the fact that they had NO Chedder Cheese which according to the wall menu is a part of the sandwich I ordered. At that point I just walked back to my table finish the sandwich and left swearing I will...
