I'm posting this for just this location. Generally I have a neutral opinion of B. V. I'm not going to tell you that this location is a good spot for a burger. I'm not going to tell you that this spot has good shakes. Instead I'm going to tell you that this spot has ruined the idea that has made this chain of hometown burgers a good spot. I'm generally passive of B. V. mainly because they run on the expensive side. For me that is. Now don't tell me it's because of the Quality of the ingredients they have, because it's not. Don't tell me it's because they try to pay their employees a good wage, because it's not. I'll tell you that they get their ingredients from the same place as many, many others. SysCo. A conglomerate restaurant supplier of fair to good quality food stuff. I'll tell you they pay their employees what the law demands them to pay. That doesn't guarantee the hours, or benefits. Now about my experience at this location. It was lunch time of day. I was taken here by a co-worker because it was on the way to where we were going. The line was short so good timing on our part. He ordered then I did. I ordered the 1/2 pound double cheese burger, of course had to get Tillamook cheese instead of American on my burger. I like real cheese, and I like my veggies on a burger. No fries, and seeing as I already had tea I got a shake. 2 items. Thinking $10.00 for lunch.... Sure. Then I saw the prices, wow that's gonna be a $15.00 lunch....... It had been a while ........ I went ahead and ordered it. Gritting my teeth as I hand over the cash. Like the last time I mentioned in jest that they must be using gold flaked buns..... LOL It being a sunny day we of outside to the tables and wait. He gets his burger, and he got a shake also. Then a couple minutes later my sad, excuse of a double burger shows up. No shake..... The young lady explains that the Ice cream machine was being cleaned and she was unable to make the one I ordered. But if I wanted she could use the yogurt if I didn't mind. I went with it..... I wanted the shake. Not quite the same, but good enough. It was OK. But the burger.... Not ok. First may I say I have always ordered this burger. It's the only one I can see as an American burger. Though it's named after the cheese. But it has veggies, I like leafy lettuce, ripe tomates crisp onions(grilled are great to) and pickles. It's what makes the burger. So let's start with the "Bun" Dessert dry, moisture deprived, made of moon regolith... So ya toasted but needlessly. Two grilled beef patties. Again disappointment of epic proportions. Over cooked, not a drop of natural moisture could be found. Made barren by time in some forgotten warming pan. Topped by two slices of cheddar cheese and haphazardly stacked on one another, and put atop a sad amount of lettuce. I say that only because I actually had to separate the bun bottom from the party to find it. You couldn't see any of the veggies. Lettuce, tomato slice (thin)[really thin and the size of a medium Roma] three pickle slices and a couple rings of onion. I should have taken a picture. Oh ya and a dollop of special sauce. The top bun had a squirt of ketchup. Enough to tell it had some. Pathetic to say the very least. The mouth full I first took shocked me. I found a bottle of ketchup on the table and added to each bite. Funny thing about it is I don't like ketchup so much. But it saved my lunch that day. Oh I did finally get my shake. Again it was Just OK. No real surprise considering the bastardisation they called a burger. Now I don't blame B.V. for this. It was purely this location. This sad day. That...

Updated review:
Wow has service gotten better! I moved to Beaverton for two years and am back living in troutdale. This burgerville is a go to for last minute meals and they have seriously stepped up their game. To address my initial concerns (which were based on having lived in town and having eaten there for 10 years) their order accuracy so far is 100% (about 10 visits during COVID). Also, and maybe this occurred at all burgerville’s, but their food has gotten tastier! Better fries, better ingredients overall. The drive through line has also been wicked fast since the restaurant lounge closed due to COVID. With all the positive experiences I’ve had there now, I wanted to be sure to come back and change my review. You folks earned it.
My original review:
“It's a gamble eating here. We almost always order to go, and it's a shame because by the time we get home and open up the order -even after asking the drive through attendant to make sure everything is there- we realize they have forgotten part of our meal! Sure I'd love to run right back and grab what they forgot, but it is a 40 minute round trip and approximately half the meals value in gas (a.k.a. not worth it...). What would the cashier do if I payed with two ones instead of two fives? Or if I flat out forgot to pay? There is no way they would let that happen, but you bet they will let me get short changed (pun intended). Please start TRIPLE checking your orders before it slides out...
Read moreBurgerville has terrific fast food. We look forward to the onion rings in summer and the pumpkin spice shakes in the fall. So the food is top rate. On the other hand, this location has shorted us on our order on more than one occasion. Think you ordered 2 Tillamook cheeseburgers? Well, maybe not. I think that the drive-through staff is overtaxed. They don't hear well, they don't repeat the order back to you so that you can realize they only put you down for 1 burger instead of 2, or who knows what. But when you fail to get your exact order 50% of the time, we have a problem.
I wrote the above (2-star) review 2 years ago, and sadly -- it has gotten worse. Our order is wrong, to some degree, every. Single. Time. That's pretty annoying. But the last time we went, which was after their remodel, it was plain that their menu and ingredients are now suffering, as well. I know that the price of food has gone up, and they're probably hesitant to charge even more than they ridiculously are, but give me a break. The portions are very small for the price, and they have obviously made changes that affect the quality as well. That used to be the one thing you could count on: reasonable quality. No more. Honestly, I've had better burgers at Jack in the Box....
