This was the worst experience I have ever had in the portland area. I'm a former food industry worker of 10+ years with outstanding track records with the company I worked for. I know all about food service and how to conduct yourself with customers. I ordered $72 in food with an $8 tip and was treated absolutely terribly. First off, we changed our minds about a plate once I had arrived to pick up our order and since they had already made the previously ordered curry (smallest portion I have ever seen) I gladly paid for the other dish we wanted and this is where the workers attitude got bad. They did go over the order and I found a mistake while there, we ordered pineapple fried rice and it wasn't even in the box...I didnt get to look since she just put it in the box and I assumed she had verified it was the rice dish since she just brought it directly from the kitchen. I drove it back home and upon arrival we found that the pineapple rice was actually paid thai. We then tried the "fried wings" nd they were completely soggy and not crispy. Then we try the pad ki mao and it tasted like only salty fish sauce, which was disgusting. We eat thai food about 3 nights a week so we are very familiar with a proper dish, that of which this was far from. The only dish that was even edible was the thai basil rice, that of which I didn't even eat because this ruined dinner for the entire household and I had to get a new dinner. I called to complain and was only met with sob stories about how they would lose too much money on food costs if they goce me my money back. They offered me $20 in compensation for a ruined $72 meal....i told her that was unacceptable and demanded a refund. You never make the customer eat the price of food, when your restaurant messed up. It's not my duty to pay cost of food when they messed up the said food. After being told no multiple times, she hung up on me and refused to answer the phone line until we called multiple times from different numbers. We told them that if they didnt make this right, that we would share our experience. Her response was "I dont care" and hung up on us. Save your money and go to a different local establishment where they actually put the customer first. I still have the food sitting here at my house, completely un-consumed...as they refused to take it back....
Read moreSuper delish! A great find. My daughter and I stopped by this cute little food cart for lunch. We easily found close parking on side street midday. We ordered salad rolls, pumpkin tempura (we'd never seen that item before), chicken sesame yakisoba, beef drunken noodle & a side of peanut sauce (we love peanut sauce with salad rolls). This day was chilly, and rain was starting to fall. Still, we sat at one of the two sheltered picnic tables. The six slices of hot and crispy pumpkin tempura came in a little white sack with sweet & sour sauce. They warmed our fingers as we gobbled them down. They are delicious with either sauce! My yakisoba girl said the noodles are amongst the best she's had. Sesame seeds were visible and there was a subtle garlic flavor, veggies were generous, enjoyed the egg bits in there, too. Noodles were perfect al dente. The basil in the delicious drunken noodles was plentiful (at some places the basil is quite lacking). Beef was tender, nicely cooked. We like that the noodles are served in paper box rather than plastic. Someone on Yelp raved over the peanut sauce and they were right, we found the peanut sauce to be very tasty. The lady who waited on us was very nice and friendly. We couldn't finish it all, leftovers for later! We had happy taste buds and happy tummies! My daughter commented as we left, that if that food cart was in our little town, she'd be fat and broke! Too bad we live an hour's drive away, we won't get to enjoy it very often. (Right now, they have a sign up saying they're closed on Thursdays. We're so glad this wasn't...
Read moreWas out visiting Portland and I love food. My nephew suggested us going to this place for dinner. Nephew knew some of the workers here so we wanted to support the business. Decor of the place is open space, pretty good amount of seating. Was not overly decorated, was later at night and didn't pay to be much attention to Decor in main ding area. They have a backroom for slot playing and a bar which was nice. We had the whole area to ourselves.Hennessey shots and Thai beer for drinks over the course of the night. We had (2 orderd)shrimp rolls and a shrimp coconut for appetitizers. Both were very good. We had the Seafood Tom Yum soup that was very good and was served in a bowl that had a flame on bottom to keep it hot for awhile. We had some crispy chicken with rice. That was very good also. I encourage you to eat the food while it is hot straight out of kitchen. Best experience is hot food and enjoying the different flavors. If you like slots, it's a good open place to play slots with a bar near by. Food drinks and gambling all at the same time. The service we experienced was very good and food was brought out pretty fast. Staff was friendly and polite while serving us. I definitely would recommend this place for authentic Thai Cuisine. Nice place to enjoy dinner....
