Texas style barbecue. To me these words instill the images of the great western frontier. The American dream and home style hearty meals. Busters BBQ is nothing of the sort.
When you walk in you grab a plastic tray and proceed to each slop station to get your desired portions of cheap garbage BBQ imitation. the whole procedure is reminiscent of elementary school lunches. Once you have loaded your tray with your grease and fat you get to sit down at the tables that are not wide enough for two people to sit down across from each other on account to how large your plastic trays are. My friend ordered fries for a side dish (they were crinkle cut) and they had to cook a fresh batch for him and said they would bring it out to our table in a matter of minuets. We never saw the fries. On top of the poorly lit uncomfortable dinning area they also play that horrible country music that isn't country its more like redneck hip hop.
If you want to get some cheap greasy BBQ and pay too much for it, Buster's is the place for you. But if you still enjoy life and eating good food I would suggest you drive on over to Podnah's over at 17th and Killingsworth. You will be paying the same amount and getting local higher quality, and quantity, food in a much more enjoyable atmosphere where the food is brought to you on plates instead of walking through a lunch line.
I cannot remember a time I have been as disgusted with a dinning experience than I have when I ate at Buster's. The only good thing is that if your backed up in your spaghetti house this will clear you right out, I truly enjoyed defecating this meal more than i did eating it.
Restaurants of this quality are an insult to American food and are a cancer upon society.

The place was nice and clean. The customers were sitting at the tables at least 6 feet apart. The foods were good. The atmosphere was cozy... However, I still don't know why they set up the stainless steel containers of sauces up on the counters, with big spoons in them, and little ceramic bowls & paper cups nearby. With that set up, I thought it was for customers to dish up themselves. I took a paper cup and started to dish up some sauce. Suddenly, someone yanked the cup out of my hand and squeezed it into a ball and threw it into a trash can, without a word. I looked up and saw a Hispanic lady who was angrily stared at me. Still without a word, she leaned toward me (because I was closer to the containers and the bowls than she was) and took a ceramic bowl and dished up some sauce in it. When she was done, still without a word, she slammed the bowl on the counter in front of me! I'm still confused until now. There are 3 questions without answers:
The food was very disappointing. They catered an event where they went to a lot of trouble barbequing the meat which looked delicious and very well prepared. Unfortunately it was not seasoned. At all. Not only that, but there was no salt or pepper available except for a very small packet of each per person with the silverware - just enough to season a mouthful, but not a meal. The salsa and the potato salad had a little seasoning and were edible, but the meat which looked beautiful was simply inedible. There were also vegetable skewers which looked delicious and seemed to have been perfectly cooked, but absolutely no seasoning was used at all and again there was none available either. I was hungry so I just put a lot of salsa on enough bites that I didn't starve and that was it. I left hungry and went home and fixed myself a meal. Some people do prefer food cooked with little or no salt and don't like to add any but the rest of us who are not on special diets would at least like to have some seasoning available I really cannot recommend them for catering and I certainly won't go to the restaurant. Tasteless, completely unseasoned food isn't really worth eating, let alone paying to eat it. The servers were very nice. The cook was very nice. All that was perfect. But the main thing of course, when one is going to eat dinner, is good food. It wasn't. It simply...
