ICandy — Local services in Gresham

Hi, guys. I've been excited to stop in here because from the outside it looks like such a fun and whimsical experience. I looked around first and got some candy before making my decision on what I was going to get. As soon as I got to the register, "Donna" looked down at the candy, and I ordered my drink. She then rolled her eyes, while tapping her fingernails on the counter 3 times and sighed before saying, "Okay....." She then walked to make my drink while saying loudly, "I was JUST over here, but OOOOKAY!!!" I was completely taken aback by how visibly annoyed she was that I decided not to order anything else. It was such a disappointment to be seen as such an inconvenience so I came to read the reviews and saw that this is an ongoing thing here!?? Why would such a seemingly fun and happy place have someone with such a poor attitude be their customer service person when they clearly don't like people? If I am craving candy in the future I will make sure to order grub hub or something else so I don't have to interact with her again She is bad...

We were expecting an old-fashioned soda fountain from the descriptions of the place, and it's more like a candy shop/ice cream spot you might find at Universal Studios or something. Very pink, run by teenagers, sort of kitchy. However, if I were a kid I would be in hog-heaven, as it is definitely a bright and sparkly spot full of jars of rock-candy and saltwater taffy and offering milkshakes, shaved ice, and scoops of various sorts of cookie dough. Also, the usual small gag gifts and fun socks for sale and whatnot. My favorite part was that is was a warm evening when we went and downtown Gresham is quite charming. We found a bench across the street where we were able to socially distance and had an ice cream cone and watched the people come and go and it was almost like pre-pandemic life again....

My husband and i were here yesterday 8/3/2025. One clerked was very nice and took care of making our milk shakes, which was delicious. But the younger girl who was helping us at the candy counter was really rude. I asked if we could sperate mine and his and that seemed to really annoy her. She rolled her eyes after i had asked and then after weighing my candy, she aggressively threw my husbands onto the scale. I'm really not sure what the issue was, she made us very uncomfortable. The candy was really good, but honestly i dont see us returning after that uncomfortable interaction.
