As life is returning to normal from the pandemic and businesses are letting people dine in at full capacity, I decided to visit Margarita Factory which was also known as Mojave. I can understand it being busy with people excited to dine in again and it being a Friday night but the lack of service was terrible. I dined in with only a party of two and was seated at the very front table near the hostess and entrance. We sat for a good ten minutes wondering who our server was and was about to leave if nobody showed up in another five minutes. A waitress greeted herself after a couple minutes, she was very friendly and took our order. Now here is where the terrible service comes in. It took a long time for us to get our drinks, probably a good 10-15 minutes. The reason was she was talking to customers for most of the time, about a good few minutes per table in her area. She finally returned with the drinks and the food came very shortly after. It was kind of hard to eat with no silverware so we had to ask for that too. Waitress came back and checked on us again real quick before going off and chit chatting to customers again. At this point, we were pretty done eating and just wanted a refill for our drinks. Waitress came back and I requested for another drink...which was a mistake. She went to go talk with customers this but it was worst, she basically sat down with them and pulled her phone out. Showed people pictures and such, this whole ordeal took about 15 minutes to get us our refills. She finally returned and we just asked for the check to pay and leave. I mentioned before, I can understand it being busy on a Friday night especially with the reopening of restaurants after COVID, but this is not how you provide service by putting more effort into one and...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed with my experience tonight. I came for my grandfathers 85th birthday party with my parents, brothers and daughters. While being seated, I was asked by our waitress if I wanted a highchair for my youngest (5 months) . I told her no, as she could not sit up by herself yet so it would be unsafe. She proceeded to come back with a highchair, flipped it over (upside down) and instructed me to place my 5 month old baby's car seat (with her in it) in the contraption as it "doubled as a car seat holder"... Well against my better judgment i went along, and the car seat ended up tipping all the way over and out of the contraption later on that night.. With her inside. Thankfully she did not get hurt. When i drew this to our waitress's attention, she did not seem very sympathetic and I felt as though she was not really taking me seriously. I just wanted to be sure they would not use this method of seating an infant with anymore customers. My baby could have been seriously injured had the table not been close enough to catch her fall.
Not to mention, we were automatically charged a tip for our mediocre (at best) service, which was incredibly lame. A few of the waiters just seemed inexperienced and a couple of the waitress's need to work on their customer service. The food was great but the service was no good and for that reason alone, i unfortunately will not be going to eat at Mojaves again ny...
Read moreWe've gone to Mojave's many times in the last 2 years. We also enjoy going to Jorges in Vancouver while visiting family. We go maybe 2-3 times a month during happy hour or on Saturday date night dinners. But this last time was just horible. It today (Monday) during happy hour with little to no one in the bar area. We sat ourselves but it seemed like once we got or drinks we didn't get a food order till at least 20 mins later with no check ins from the waiter. Once we finally ordered our food we got our chips/salsa. Like I said we've eaten here many times before and have loved the salsa but this time it was salsa water... Another 25 mins went by (also with no check ins between with drinks empty) and finally our food came. We ordered different salsa and when she came back it was still just basically soup with no tom/onion chunks which we were used to seeing... our taqitos were good as always but the fish tacos had basically nothing in them but slaw and just an end chunk of fish on each taco. Very disappointing to all the other amazing meals we've had there not only with us but with our families at all locations. I don't know of it was just that day but from that experience I'm not exactly sure if we want to come back if that's how the food will be. Giving it 2 stars because other then the slow service, the servers were nice. Just a poor...
