After moving to the area from Athens, GA, my aunt introduced me to Kizzy Kakes and I’ve been hooked ever since! She had ordered a few slices of cake and some cupcakes for dessert to go with a dinner I made, and I couldn’t believe how good everything tasted. The desserts were so delicious that I didn’t hesitate to drive 30 minutes just to find the shop myself.

From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Kizzy herself and an impressive display of treats. The bakery is filled with goodies, cupcakes, slices of cake in flavors like red velvet, blue velvet, carrot cake, pound cake, brownies, cheesecakes, cheese straws, and more. I picked up an assortment of cake slices and asked if she sold cookies. She said yes, but they’re made to order.

Of course, I went back a few days later for the cookies and they were just as amazing as everything else. My husband and I used to visit another local bakery just for cookies, but after tasting Kizzy’s, we haven’t gone back. Her desserts have become a staple at my family functions, and every time I bring a cake, people fall in love with it.

Kizzy truly makes the best homemade desserts I have had in over a decade. Moist, flavorful, and made with so much love, her cakes are worth every bite (and maybe even a little weight gain!). We bought a cake from them for a vanilla wedding and had several issues related to said cake 1.They told us to pick the cake up at 11 I showed up at about 12 and yet the cake was not ready yet The cake completely disintegrated before we even got to the ceremony to begin with There was no way to fix it but they put peaches in the center of the cake (which we did not ask for) and it made the entire cake wet and soggy so the thing had no way of staying stable The cake was absolutely DISGUSTING!!!!!
