UPDATE 4/19/23: Wish I could do ZERO stars. Went today about 12:45 for what I wanted to be lunch AND to give them another try, but epic fail. Two girls behind the counter that never acknowledged me. Meanwhile two white women walked in that were greeted and invited to sit wherever they desired. Meanwhile I sat at a dirty high top that appeared to be clean but wasn't. Guy tossing the pizza dough looking at me like "what the hell are you doing here." After sitting ~7 minutes with no greeting or acknowledgement, I left and there will definitely NOT be three times for a charm. Not sure blacks are welcome here. Take your money elsewhere.
We are fairly new to Griffin and get out to try the different eateries in the area. Yesterday (1/4) we tried this one because my hubby had a taste for some spaghetti and meatballs. Unfortunately, he was disappointed as he stated they had no taste. I ordered a meat lovers slice and a wedge salad. We ordered wings as an appetizer. My slice was tasty. The wegde salad proportions were not as I would have preferred and am used to. Tooooo much lettuce and not enough toppings. The wings were fried a little too hard but the sauce was good. We started not to go after reading several comments around this establishment being "racist." We sat near the door and were able to see people come and go. I will say that black patrons were looked at like they were out of place. I watched a couple of exchanges/looks that were questionable. I wasn't the most comfortable and nothing about the experience has me jumping up and down to return. I shared with the white gentleman at the register (assumingly the manager/owner) when he asked, without ever looking up, how our meal was. I said it was our first time and the pizza was good. He responded very dryly "'glad you enjoyed it." I have always worked in customer service and currently manage a team of customer service professionals so I suppose my expectations might be a little high. I would have said "we hope you'll visit again." Nothing about this experience was exceptional. At best it was mediocre. Our waitress wasn't rude, but wasn't overly friendly to her, although I tried very hard to be nice to ensure our first and likely last experience was as good as it could be. We just didn't feel welcomed. Will gladly spend our money elsewhere. Good...

One reviewer mentioned being racist- I think that can be the reason for me as well. I would add discrimination based on my experience.
I agree with other reviewers about the service too, it's the worst customer service experience we had in the downtown area. Unfortunately, we always had the same waitress who seems to have a bad day every day so it will be 0 stars for customer service. Maybe she hates her job. Also, indeed, the order usually takes forever.
The lady (waitress) raised her voice telling us to move to another table because it will be hard for her to walk around. So, why did they put the table there if customers are not allowed to be seated in that specific spot??? There's no sign that it's "reserved" either. The other staff confirmed to us that there are available tables in that area too, that's why we went there & sit.
They let the other group be seated in the middle which seems to be the reason she(the waitress) didn't have enough room to walk around the area at that time. If her convenience of being able to walk around the tables was the real reason, she shouldn't have let the other group connect the big tables in the middle so she can have more space in the aisle. She didn't bother to say it to us politely either. So, we just left & will never recommend this...
Read moreOkay I'll preface this by saying, they messed up my order today. I was supposed to have spaghetti and meatballs but when I got home it was Chicken Alfredo. I called to let them know and they were apologetic and asked how to make it right. I said it's not what I wanted but it's fine, I just wanted to let you know. I didn't need anything from them and was going to leave it at that until I tasted this stuff.
I got two slices of pepperoni pizza and ended up with the Alfredo. The pizza was extremely cold and I live 6 minutes away. It was very thin which would have been good if it wasn't cooked to death and sitting. It was more like a pizza chip.
The Chicken Alfredo was the worst pasta I've ever tasted and I'm not being funny. This is just terrible! The Alfredo tasted like flavorless watery mayonnaise. It was so thin and barely covered the top of the pasta. The pasta itself was way overcooked. The chicken was so soft and had a weird texture. There was no firmness to it. It was giving Michelina's frozen budget Alfredo.
I gave it two stars only because the people were nice and the service was good but I wonder what I just spend twenty minutes waiting...
