Had the chance to eat here yesterday. It's a very tiny restaurant that seats only a few people. It was 1:30 in the afternoon and still crowded for lunch. The first thing I noticed was that more than 1/2 the folks in the restaurant were walking out with doggy bags. Dead giveaway that the portion sizes are large. We got garlic bread to start. It was very poor quality frozen box store bread with no garlic on it at all. My husband ordered chicken piccata so his entree came with a salad. The salad was a nice generous house salad with lots of iceberg and very little veggies but the house Italian dressing was delicious. The salad could really use an update with chickpeas, mozzarella, croutons. After all this is an Italian restaurant. When his pasta arrived he loved it. Said it was excellent, plenty of lemon. I ordered the gyro plate. It was good, not great. It had 3 slices of gyro that was a very mild, almost bland flavor. The feta had a nice flavor, but the spanikopita was soggy. It should be crispy. Everything was a bit over salted as evidenced by my continuous need for water later last night. The bill came to $27 for lunch which I thought was too pricey. I would much rather have smaller portions at lunch and pay a reasonable $7.99. All in all it it is unlikely we will visit again, but this restaurant was better than many of the...

I would like to say me and my husband James have a new favorite Restaurant. We live in Locust Grove, Ga which we love and have lived here for over 20 years. Our little town has grown alot but he don't have a huge selection of food to choose from and no italian or Greek at the all except just Pizza so we usually have to fight traffic towards Atlanta to fine any fine food. It can take hours. So anyway James remembers his last Class Reunion was catered by Angelo's and am I glad he did. The food was Devine and all hand made. What a great selection we over ordered to have some at home to eat later. Every thing was great and the prices it was well worth it and you got hearty amount of food. Our waitress was name Melanie she was wonderful, very nice lady that was just perfect in serving us. We have no complaints at all. It was food was out of this world it just so mouth watering good. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very welcoming. We didn't have to put up with any accidents or road construction to get there at all plenty of parking. We definitely will be going back in the near future. I highly recommend this restaurant and I hope they decide to stay in Griffin and strive to great success because they truly deserve it. We were very pleased. Thank you so much Angelo's and thank you Melanie y'all are...

Our food was excellent. The portion size was large, especially the very large single piece of cake my wife ordered (there was enough in that single piece of cake for three or four people to eat). I was not going to eat any cake, but it was huge, so I wound up with half of the piece. The atmosphere is that of a small restaurant. Not that of a fine dining establishment. Not that the atmosphere detracts from the food - it does not. It is just a simple sit down place with minimal frills. For the life of me, I cannot understand why they are not open on at least one weekend day (aside from wanting the weekend off). I rarely have a weekday off, so we and our friends had walked past the restaurant several times, over many months, and wondered if COVID or the recent tornado had put them out of business. Several other people were also in the area near us, also discussing why the restaurant was closed. The food was very good, so I am sure they would have lots of Saturday business, if they opened, and I am sure I would return. Unfortunately, until I get another weekday off, I won't be able to return to try the other items on the menu; from what I could see of other's orders, everything looked quite good, and...

I ordered linguini noodles and Alfredo sauce. It comes with mushrooms and onions and ham slices or something I guess which I don't eat any of and had no idea it came on it. I could get past all that but it was absolutely disgusting. No taste very bland, seriously I'm not just saying that to make them look bad, it was horrible. My husband said it was disgusting and he will eat literally anything. He said it was like water or sauce from a can with no seasoning and I'm talking NO TASTE. So very disappointed in this $60 dinner tonight. Everything is so overpriced and it's not even good, I threw it in the garbage.. I got my son a cheese pizza and he ate it but he's 12 so who knows.. You couldn't pay me to eat here it was that bad even for the pizza. I can get pizza anywhere, I was craving some some good Italian food but this is not the place. I would not recommend anyone eating here. UPDATE: I made some Ramen noodles and a turkey sandwich for dinner and it was delicious. Another update: I can’t believe this place is still open, the food is absolutely disgusting!

We love Angelo's! The corner location is charming, service is outstanding, and the food is fantastic! We've only been a few times since moving here, but will keep coming back. Every dish we've tried was fresh and flavorful. The red sauce is bright and fragrant, not too heavy, and smooth. All of the sauces and dressings are fresh made and so good! Some of our favorites so far are the Horiatiki salad- a true Greek salad, our kid's fave is a sausage, spinach and mushroom calzone. Plus, anything Parmigiano style is incredibly good and frankly, a masdive plate-veal/chicken/eggplant with pasta, and they have authentic soul correcting chicken soup (definitely add a squeeze of lemon.) On our next trip, we plan to try the array of Greek dishes. I do wish there were more Greek options, but what is there looks very good. The desserts are very impressive too! The menu is huge and really has something for everyone. Good for a family meal, cozy date, or simple lunch. A star in the Griffin dining scene for sure!

You couldn't get a better Italian/Greek meal if You flew to Greece or Italy. Service is WONDERFUL! Prompt but not hurried. More amazingly; would You believe I arrived on the same day that the Crazy Italian is the Daily Special? 😋 I ordered the Crazy Italian which comes with a choice of soup or salad. Because I've eaten so much soup lately, I opted for the salad with Italian dressing. 👍 The waiter brings bread that is toasted with a slight char. That's what I'm talking about!!! Then, He brings out the CRAZY ITALIAN "packed & stacked"! DELICIOUSNESS personified! Enough to feed a two hungry adults or one Griffin Bear's Linebacker... I wimped-out and had to ask for a to-go box. If You're looking for real, honest to goodness, homemade Greek/Italian cuisine, Angelo's is Your cucina!👍👍👍👍
