By far, this is my favorite Japanese restaurant in the area. Service has generally been excellent here. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and type of food you receive. I mostly order sushi, and I've never been disappointed. Saki features specialty sushi rolls, according to seasonal availability of ingredients. My favorite specialty roll encountered so far was the 'Pink Lady Roll' during the summer months.
We've ordered the sushi boat special on a few occasions. The most recent order wasn't presented nearly as nicely as the first time shortly after opening, but the sushi was still of the same great quality and flavor.
Food from the main menu, if you will, has been excellent. It's a rarity for me to have anything from the normal menu, but the limited selection I've tried thus far has been extraordinary.
Wait times can get a little lengthy during peak hours--early evenings on weekends especially. Only the ground floor is available for dining without reservations. However, if you have a large group I highly suggest that you call ahead and make reservations. I've had birthday parties here, and the upper floor of the restaurant is available for group reservations. There are restrooms on this floor as well. Please take note that you will have to climb a few stairs to get to the upper floor, there is no elevator. With that being said, the second floor will not be handicap accessible. Service on the second floor for our groups is practically as expedient as service on the ground floor.
One of my favorite spots. Perfect if it's just the wife and I, myself alone, having the kiddos in tow, or friends and family tagging along as well.
Parking available in a free lot, directly across from the building. Crosswalks and signals are also conveniently located here.
UPDATE I still stand by the amazing rating I originally gave this place. Went on a date night again recently, and the sushi and sashimi had the best flavor I've had in a long time. Service and food...

I rarely give a 5star rating, simply because the restaurant, hotel, service provided, etc. has to be consistent over and over again. They have to be especially conscientious in their service. Saki is one of those places. It's awesome every time!
The owner takes pride in every thing he does. The restaurant staff remember you when you come and are always friendly, efficient, and friendly. The food is awesome. My wife orders from the hibachi grill menu and the food is always good and full of great flavors. I order from the sushi menu and the Sushi Chefs are always creative in their presentation. The seafood is fresh and the pieces of fish, etc. served are gracious. Honestly, you rarely get a restaurant of this quality in south Atlanta. If you're in this area, you need to stop and eat at this restaurant. This place is family friendly or group friendly. It's also great place for a date night. There's plenty of parking and the prices are...
Read moreThe food was excellent. They weren't busy at all, so zero wait for service, and it was pleasant. We were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday, which included a free cheesecake, that we were unaware of until we ordered a dessert for her. So that was a nice surprise. The prices were as expected. The only thing I didn't notice was that the tip was included in our total because we took my niece with us, and that put our party at 6. I had just finished adding a $25 tip when my daughter pointed out the $30 that was already there. No worries, I just removed my additional tip. The server seemed a bit irritated when I pointed it out though. Her demeanor changed to that of a much more rushed one. Although that could very well be due to the proximity of their closing time. All together a nice dining experience. We'll go back...
