Let me start with our waitress was on point and atmosphere is amazing!! But we were reaaaaally disappointed by most of the food. I will say that the french fries were yummy. The chicken nachos were good but not really anything special. That was about it. My husband got the poboy and only ate about 1/4 of it. He said it was very dry, the shrimp appeared and tasted as if it came out of a frozen bag, it wasn't fresh tasting at all. My hamburger patty appeared and tasted the same way, reminded me of prefrozen processed burgers, it wasn't a fresh ground beef burger. I didn't even eat half of it. The bacon was good though! As for drinks, I was disappointed when I ordered a mixed cocktail special and it came out in a tiny little glass the size of a flight drink. Though it did taste good, if you took the ice out there may have been 4oz of liquid total. Just not worth $10 in my opinion. I have had a few people tell us to give it another try and we probably will with the hopes of getting better food next time but honestly we are in no...
Read moreNice second location for Firemaker Brewing! I’ve been to the OG spot roughly 10 times, so knew what to expect in terms of beer and food options. The taproom definitely feels more like a sports bar and restaurant than an actual brewery, but that’s not a bad thing. Beer is enjoyable, and the food has improved since they added their own personal kitchen (I accidentally ate a chicken tender before snapping a picture). This location is superior to the Atlanta spot. Lots of natural light, great bar setup, and golf simulators. Based on the TV setup, it’s a great place to watch a game. Brewery is only a 5-minute walk from Piedmont Brewing; making it a good 1-2 punch. I visited during the soft open and while I see where some minor kinks need to be worked out there’s definitely plenty of time to fix...
Read moreNice atmosphere, beer was pretty good, however we would not recommend the food. We had the fried Mac & cheese balls - good concept and fry but they had no flavor / no seasoning. My husband had the meatloaf - basically a thin hamburger patty w/no flavor, green beans from a can, and lumpy mashed potatoes. I had a burger, which was mostly bun, with a really thin meat patty, which had no flavor, and weird tasting Northern beans. We will probably go back for the beer and atmosphere, but we'll eat somewhere else first. Don't waste your money on the food. Maybe they should ditch the food idea and just do the food trucks like Firemaker on the north...
