This was the worst "tea experience" every. They packed all 12 of us at a table for 8, there was not enough food for each person to be able to try one of each item and the quality was not great either (with the exception of the bacon wrapped carrots)I called ahead to make them aware of an egg allergy but all of the food was piled onto 2 trays several items touching the deviled eggs. We were told ahead of time we would need to be out by 2:30 (which we were) but we still had several interruptions while my niece was trying to open her gifts reminding us we needed to be out by then. I told them we had not been given out checks and asked for to go cups, that were never received. When we finally did receive our checks they had one amount on them, we all provided cards for payment which they ran for a higher amount (including a service fee of 20% with zero communication or knowledge of this). All I received from this experience was a lot of complaints from all of our guest about everything and this really ruined her baby shower. We will not be back nor will I recommend this place to anyone after...
Read moreI highly recommend this wonderful tea room! Everything about my experience here was exceptionally good. There is a broad selection of teas of many types - so many that I will have to make future trips to sample other teas! For this outing I got to taste the Lemon Ginger Oolong and one of the Earl Greys and both were delicious. I am a tea drinker - I custom order loose leaf tea blends and I was not disappointed in the teas served here. The food was also wonderful. I got a choice of half a sandwich, some soup, a quiche, and some cakes. Everything was wonderful and very fresh tasting. Come hungry, you will need the room! There was the option to add on a strawberry mimosa and a strawberry macaron. Both added a festive touch to tea and elevated it to a more 'special occasion' feel - excellent for Valentine's Day. I would highly recommend those addons for a romantic outing. The owner was present and was exceptionally charming, she took the time to speak with our party and asked...
Read moreBest place in Griffin, not just an experience but also my favorite food spot! First of all, every menu item is carefully thought out and executed with high skill. Things like the soup, scones, salads, and sandwiches are the perfect size to enjoy other bites. Tea are usually suggested with whatever you may be eating and certainly for the high tea menu items. The teas are wonderful blends, with snowflake at the top. These are served by the owner Teresa and her trained staff. This is not just a tea house but also an atmosphere you can sink into. Relaxing in this historic home, you are surrounded by curated antiques, most for purchase! There is also a gift shop, where you can get tea, tea related items, and other fine gifts. All the prices are reasonable and will give you a beautiful memory to think back on. Certainly the best around, this is a rare...
