I did not get a good vibe although the wait staff was accommodating I just felt a little awkward because I asked for pesto to dip my bread and typically at some Italian restaurants they give you pesto and oil just to dip your bread though they had a delicious red sauce and oil for you to dip your bread I just wanted pesto it took them a long time to bring it and one waitress that I asked for it did not have a clue about what I was talking about but we got past that and they brought the big bowl of the pesto that was very sticky and very different from the pesto that I have had from the grocery store and other Italian restaurants it was a big glob of green sticky stuff My friend ordered lasagna I ordered shrimp scampi both of our Meals were blackened like they been in the broiler the shrimp were hard and crunchy and that I know they should not have been that way her lasagna was dry and the noodles were brown The lady across from us when she picked up a piece of her lasagna with her fork you could see the string of cheese from the plate to her mouth I did not want to say anything after saying something about the pesto saying something about my cold soup so I Did not wanna be a total customer from hell but our entrées were totally unacceptable so I said something because my green beans were charred my shrimp scampi was charred her lasagna was charred so I said something to the waitress and she took the food away and when she came back it was like night and day our food was so good her lasagna was not dry and my scampi was not overcooked and the green beans were not charred so at the end of the day the problem was corrected and the...
Read moreSals was recommended by my brother, because his step daughter, Jordan, works there and it was open Christmas Eve for carry out. It was just going to be myself and my father for dinner. When I called to order the food, the woman that answered the phone was very kind and patient. I ordered two fettuccine Alfredo (which comes with side salad and bread) and a kids chicken finger and chips and an extra chicken fingers side meat (didn’t want meat in the Alfredo). Picking up was easy and both of the waitress that I saw offered assistance right away. One waitress waited on the gentleman that entered before me. The other waitress came over to help me. I could feel that it was busy, but it did not cause anyone to change their pleasant demeanor. There were two other people in the kitchen. The cook was very busy, but seemed calm and the other person was busy traying catering orders. The food-oh my-was so good! The fettuccine Alfredo was delicious. The pasta is just a tad thicker than most places, but made a huge difference. The chicken finger meat was so tasty, that we ate it as a side dish. Bread was soft and fresh. SIde salad was good too. The creamy Italian salad dressing was heavy on the garlic. The waitress had given me a heads up on that and I still opted for it. That would be the ONLY change I would make with my order. Oh…and get more of the chicken! 😂 Thank you for accommodating us on...
Read moreSalvatore Scallopini is by far my favorite italian restaurant to go to. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality & amount of the food received. The atmosphere is loud however thats because its busy all the time which is a testament to their great food & service. The minestrone soup, salad with creamy romano, and bread are what make this place stand out for me among other restaurants in general as the bread is perfectly fresh, and the soup and salad have a flavor that is unmatched in both freshness and taste. I introduced my girlfriend from Rochester to Scallopini and she too can attest that it is her favorite italian restaurant as well. Another perk that Scallopini provides is payment via TradeFirst, my family frequently utilizes this form of payment so it is greatly convenient on our behalf to pay for dinner here via TradeFirst. My only recommendations for Scallopini are to add tripe to the menu and to either expand locations or to expand square footage of locations in both the restaurant itself and parking lot (for...
