I only left one star because it is still technically subway and only cause I had to tell the world my experience on working here From 11/2016-04/2017.
I'm not racist in the slightest but I'm stating the facts that the person who owns this store, Peter Patel, is an average Indian Man. Our first thoughts are... "Oh what a lovely peaceful hindi operated store. "
That is until you see how, since There's no bathrooms at this Walmart location in gulf shores, one of the indian ladies had to pee really bad and pissed in the mop pit in the back kitchen area.( on more than just one occasion.) She no washie her hands as she put the thin plastic glove barriers on to grab your ham, salami, turkey and veggies. Oh, did I also Mention she made the pretzels for auntie annes side as well?
Or the fact that the indian men think since it's a franchise store and they don't have to follow the normal Subway rules. They think they can get away with anything because Subway the actual company... Can't handle your inquiries or complaints on behalf of this store... The indian men love that fact so much they rely on it. I've tried Calling everybody I could to report them. Never got a Call back From the labor law people...
They barely speak English, they make fun of you and your food right of your face. You try to ask them for customer orders on your sammich.. Don't mess up their routine... Don't even try it. The hardworkers they actually had that we can all understand, left. Because we were tired of working all day everyday fighting for our days off. I had a hard time getting the job in the first place because of the language barrier.. Was working BEFORE signing any paperwork or w-2s... Unsure I was actually going to get paid. They told me to start on Thanksgiving so i did... I worked an hour and they sent me home. Nobody Trained me From the indian side. The one lady i was very blessed to work alongside with took over the training cause they weren't teaching me nothing to the point i got frustrated cause i actually wanted to learn my job so i could... You know... Work... They don't clean the soda sprockets like all restaurants are supposed to. They have absolutely no customer service skills. Treat people poorly. They're supposed to charge you For water cups even though you are a paying customer. If they have no forks/lids/etc. cause the inventory is always missing one thing or another on trucks days... They'll push it off as your problem. Thank god the chicken is pre-cooked... With their poor hand Washing skills... We'd all have salmonella.
To the people who actually cleaned: not all superheros wear Capes.
Read moreFor some reason, Google is REALLY insistent that I review this location even though I have never set foot in here. So, here is what I know it'll be like based on years of giving Subway chance after chance to not suck:
You'll get an indifferent-at-best, outright-disdainful-at-worst employee who is under intense pressure to put no more than one tiny handful of lettuce on your sub. They will haphazardly slap your requested sub together because they don't get paid enough to care. The meat will be sub-basement quality meat that even Land O' Frost would be too embarrassed to sell in stores. And in the end you will still feel ripped off because of years of conditioning to think you shouldn't pay more than $5 for a footlong.
Then, when it's time to pay, you'll discover the tap-to-pay machine is broken so you can't pay with your phone and the employee who couldn't care less about your food doesn't even know how it works.
Now, finally maybe Google will stop asking me to review a place I would never voluntarily step foot in, because Publix is just up the road and their subs are a million...
Read moreI placed a large order for our high school swim team. I wasn't able to do so through the app because it limits you to only 6 items per order. Instead, I drove to this location to place an order in person. The man and woman working greeted me promptly and politely. I gave them a list of sandwiches that the coaches and swimmers had ordered, with specific ingredients for each, as well as an additional number of basic sandwiches. They were very friendly, happy to help, and very careful to make sure I was getting exactly what the kids had ordered. They rang it up and I paid in advance, as I would expect anyone to do. I returned the next morning to pick up the order to find not only was it ready a few minutes early, but it was bagged neatly and had lots of extra condiment packets included. They had even labeled each individual sub according to the order! I have been here several other times in the past to pick up an occasional sandwich for my kids, but will be making this our regular sub destination from now on. The customer service was wonderful!...
