Kelly's Sports Pub — Restaurant in Gulfport

I come to town for a few days and this is one of the places I like to get a meal from. After last night that will be my last night. Service was terrible. The waitress took our order and did not bring our food to us, the cook brought it. I had to go to the cook to get plastic silverware. The waitress spent her time behind the bar talking to other guest and on her phone. You should be entertaining your tables , cell phones at work have become a major distraction. It's just my opinion but the mood and atmosphere did not seem right The waitress seemed to me to be prejudice . 2 black couples on the end we sat on and she stayed on the other end of the bar and there was a bartender. And, the workers don't wash their hands after they use the restroom!!!! Horrible !!!!!!!

Well , we tried Kelly’s again and we are very disappointed. My wife and I walked in at 5:40pm on 7 May 2024 and sat a table. We waited 20 minutes and no waitress came to our table to take our order but she took the couples order 2 tables behind us. If you don’t like Blacks or want to Serve them then try a new profession. This has happened twice. If a manager isn’t going to address this issue I may need to talk with WXXV , WLOX and Sun Herald. We are human beings...

Downtown area close to beach. Easy to find. Parking busy.

Stopped on a Sunday afternoon killing time before movies. Tried to get a burger at aother place but they were having a private party. Drove around the corner and found Kelly’s. It’s a typical Irish Pub long bar w high top tables. Lots of tvs. The bartender did not greet us to us and appeared aggravated. She never really warmed up. No personality at all. Tourist are very recognizable and we sick out like a sore thumb w our accents. Gave us an overall bad taste from the start. Noticed the old beer smell like unclean. The drafts tasted warm and funky. Ordered bottle instead. Sticky Bar rail where we sat. Few Guys at bar watching the car races, looked like locals.

The food looked good and hot. The burger dressings were good. No seasoning in meat. The burger was big. Cooked thick and hot. Not handmade. Probably a 1/2 lb patty.

French fries were thick hot. Really good.

She did ask me if I didn’t like draft beer. I told her no. Diet Coke was crisp.

I know workers are tired but you have to be on your best game ev day when dealing w the public. I’m sorry.

Worst night out in awhile. We lo e coming to Gulfport and love trying new bars. We will not be back to this bar. We walked in and were ignored by all of the staff. We sat our selves at a table and after 10 mins grabbed a menu off another empty table. There were about 12 people in the entire place. Two waitresses and a cook/bartender. We got drinks and food ordered after about 20 mins. We ordered fried pickles and mushrooms. The pickles were air puffs... left most in the basket. Mushrooms were ok. I ended up walking up to the bar to place a drink order because the waitress never came back. We moved to the pool tables and after an hour our food come out. Do not order the catfish....very dry. The pulled pork frys were good though. We never saw our waitress again. She was busy on her phone and chatting with the other waitress. When I walked up to the bar to pay so we could leave. Noone asked how we liked things just slapped a receipt down and walked away. I did not leave a tip since I did not have a waitress. Sad because the service is what really killed this...
