Panda Palace Buffet — Restaurant in Gulfport

My family and I visited here yesterday. We were in line like several others. Ahead of us was a family of 7 and then us a family of 6. Others came in after us. A couple, a family of 4, another couple. Well the couples were seated ahead of us. Then the family of 6 were seated. Next should have been us! Well a family of 5 came in they had to wait and then another family of 5 came in and were seated. The hostess or whomever asked them if they preferred a booth. We were never acknowledged or even asked if we would preferred a booth! Like what the hell. How do you seat a family that came in after us. Another hostess came up and we asked, “why was this family seated before us and the other party of 5 that had been waiting? Well her response was, “that’s on her!” No apology or let me go see what’s going on. She had a very nonchalant attitude, where you can tell that she really didn’t want to be there! If that’s how’s the establishment treats their customers , we will not be returning! Very unprofessional and non-apologetic! I wish I could rate a 0. Use to love this place, admittedly the city is out of my area but when working I would stop by every few months years ago. Food had always been very good and I never had any complaints.

However tonight we stopped by, food was of very low quality, nothing looked fresh, everything just appeared to have been sitting out for hours as if it was unserved since lunch. I chocked the first plate up too odds, so I tried other things on my second plate. Same experience nothing was good, wouldn't even call it average.

The person I was with didn't even finish their first plate before they decided they didn't care for the food. Midway threw my second plate I stopped as I realized I was just eating the food out of spite for the cost. All in all for two after drinks and tip $50 for an extremely underwhelming meal.

I don't know what happened but I can't recommend this place, waitress was wonderful, women at the front of the store greeting customers was rude. For the quality the price seems absurdly high, I've had take out I've enjoyed...

The food is very good but the young short black girl that seats people is extremely rude! Infact her personality and rudeness make her quite ugly! We decided to leave and give someone else our business. There's just no need to be rude to elderly people who are disabled and need a table up close. My Dad is in his 80's and disabled.. He just wanted to sit up close. In fact we were the first ones in the restaurant and she wouldn't sit a disabled man up close. she wanted to sit him in the booth....Seriously!! He's legally blind and can't hardly walk and she wanted to sit us in a booth after we kept telling her NO NO NO NO we can't sit there ..We need a table up close. That black girl has lost her mind!! We decided to go to KING BUFFET in Biloxi MS instead and they actually let us sit anywhere we wanted and the food was OUTSTANDING!!
