Belk — Local services in Gulfport

My boyfriend ordered a bag for me through the Belk website to be delivered and picked up to this location. He did NOT give consent to let anybody pick it up, and I did not even know about it because it was to be a Christmas gift. When he went to pick up the order THAT HE PAID FOR, the workers had revealed they had given it to someone who claimed “he gave them permission” when he did not tell anyone at all. So essentially, the workers gave the bag away without checking any ID and based off of a random person’s words. They said they would investigate the surveillance videos but nobody did for days. My boyfriend went to go check on the status of the investigation and possibly getting the bag he paid for (they suggested that the bag could be delivered again). Well, the store manager acted as if she had no idea what had happened and insinuated that he actually had taken the bag and was trying to pull one on them. They then tried selling him another bag after refusing a refund. Who does that??? Today he went to the location again and after speaking to another manager who was skeptical of the situation and their workers’ negligence, she finally gave him a refund after he showed the receipt and order confirmation multiple times. Would not recommend ordering anything through this company or this location, unless you want the items you buy to be given to random strangers....

An employee at this store named Bridgett took special delight in being a jerk. I ordered 4 sets of family pajamas online. One set only came with the top. They said it would take 15 days to get a new set so the closest place I could find with the size I need is this Belk. So I drove an hour to this store today, looked around and put several items in my cart to buy. I waited about 10 minutes at Bridgetts counter while sje checked someone out. When she was done, I stepped up the register and started to speak, when she rudely interrupted telling me it was not my turn and the line was on the other side. There was only one woman waiting in line at the cashiers desk on the other side and she wasnt standing there when I walked up, but Bridgett said it was her turn. I left my cart and left the hot, disgusting store. By the way, this is the 2nd order Belk messed up this Christmas. I ordered a Hobo purse that was going to be a gift, but Belk sent a cheaper Hobo bag, not the bag I ordered and paid for so Ive had to return that, too. I will not be doing business with Belk online or in any stores...

I went in yesterday to pickup a pair of my favorite kind of shoes I wear and no longer than 5 minutes of being there, a lady came on the intercom and said, “ Monitoring needed in Section ?” ( I can’t remember exactly what she said) but I knew what she meant, my thoughts were oh no someone must be trying to steal something. About 2 minutes later as I’m sitting in the chair trying on the shoes, a black female security guard walks over near me and just stands there watching me. When she saw I was clearly annoyed , she pretended to be looking at shoes, Where I went, she had her eyes on me. I almost didn’t buy the shoes because of it but I needed them so I paid for them and left.
