Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Gulfport

I used to have fond memories of going to Marble Slab Creamery as a child, but as an adult, the tables have turned. Tonight I was not feeling the warm welcome I got as I walked through the door. As the girls sat in the kitchen regretting the next customer before closing, I walked in at 8pm hoping to still receive great service. I could spot the girls from afar as I walked from my car, thats how I know they were not in the mood to serve any more ice cream tonight. Usually I will take my time and ask for a few seconds to gather my thoughts on the confection I wanted them to make, but I was not going to have them suffer my indecisiveness tonight. So I asked for a few mix-in ingredients and two different syrups, maybe I was mumbling because she grabbed one of the wrong items and poured it in, but no worries because I'm being an "easy" customer so I thought. Before I could finish ordering my ice cream or adding another ingredient, which I hesitated on another scoop, the cashier was already trying to check me out. I read vibes very well and have worked in food and beverage for over 7 years so I know when someone is not genuinely being nice or considerate of your time. I just wish I was welcomed and given more time yo make my decision on the different combinations I had in mind. Unfortunately I did not get the opportunity to. Also, I tip those who have a great attitude and service, but tonight's tip is more verbal than monetary. From one service provider to another, If you dont want to be at work, then quit. No but seriously, try to be compassionate, patient and mindful of the people you are serving. This might be my last experience at Marble Slab Creamery. Im starting to see why the business is not the same anymore.....on another note Why don't the employees wear gloves or clean the marble top off. That's unsanitary and for heavens sake we are...

We went in today for my birthday (9/3/2024) girls were amazing. Unfortunately the lady in front of us was RUDE to the staff for unnecessary reasons, stressing the girls out. I hope management sees they took the situation as well as possible considering the circumstances (inexperience staff working with no manager on duty)

Maybe consider always having a manager/senior cashier on duty at all times, young cashiers shouldn’t have to deal with rude old ladies with at home problems messing up what should be a very fun job.

Love the ice cream. But the last time I went the young man and young lady were rude. They didn't know if they had the kind of ice cream I generally get and they didn't care to look in the back and see. The guy was supposed to be handling our order but left us to go assist the people that had just walked in.. I had to firmly insist that he complete our order. My cup had been made but my friends had not. He then made hers with an attitude and didn't fill the cup. So he scooped some more out and just threw it on top... disgusted me. Usually there's a blonde in there that is very sweet. These two clearly need some training wish I could remember...
