Hi, so I ordered some food from your Gulfport Mississippi location. I used DoorDash because I'm in bed sick. I ordered 2 small sides and an appetizer. It was a total of $30. Like I said I'm sick so one of my sides was your roasted vegetables. Well the container is already pretty small but that's ok. The problem is that there were hardly any vegetables i. it. I called the gulfport location and spoke with the manager Jason. He said that the only thing that he could do was have me bring the vegetables back a.d he would replace them. I explained that I was sick hence the reason for DoorDash (not that I even needed to explain myself) I then asked if he could take my name and maybe I could get them at a later date. He insisted that I had to bring them in now so that he could see the order and receipt. I could've sent this over the phone along with a picture that I sent to DoorDash. It makes zero sense for me to get out of bed after paying for delivery while being sick. My father has owned restaurants my entire life and would never act like this man did. He did take my number but never called back so my bf finally called and explain to him that that it cost very little for those vegetables and that he just lost 2 customers for a couple of dollars. He just ok thanks for calling and hung up. I've never in my life sent a message like this or left a Google review, which is what I'll be doing next. This was so uncalled for. It's not like I was even asking for a sushi roll. I paid 7-8 dollars for a few vegetables. But it's more so about how he handled it. I know so many restaurant owners here on the coast. One in particular that most people know and hold in high regards. I will ask him how he would've handled this. I bet nothing like this or he wouldn't be winning every award there is on the coast. Tell Mr. Jason that his attitude is going to run people off. I've always loved your food. Money isn't an issue at all here but your...
Read moreI was a new hire in May of 2019, the location was on HWY 49, Gulfport, MS. The manager is Sam Miller. I want to report a theft. I gave her $300 to put up for either employee emergencies or anything of the matter. This came of my own money, she put it in the company safe. Upon asking for the money back due to a personal relapse on drugs, she stated that I needed to return to the premises at 8am one friday morning to get the funds. She never showed up and called the police stating that i was causing a scene and was appearing threatening to the other employees. It has since been about 12 days and she refuses to answer telepohne or text. Due to her calls i am tresspassed from the restaurant. I now am labeled a nuicence to the city, and am homeless. This should be corrected, I just want enough to survive on while i look for more employment. Thanks.
I never thought that a person that i would entrust as my boss would steal from me and ruin my personal image to the surrounding city.
The transaction of me giving her the funds, her putting it in the safe, and then according to her - her taking the money from the safe at the company then to her personal home, is or should all be on the restaurant cameras.
If she will take an employees funds, could she not also take the companies?
And doesnt this also fall under theft of entrusted company...
Read moreWe've ate at a few japanese places since visiting here and this is the BEST!
Seaweed salad, miso soup, spider roll, eel roll, chili pepper roll, and Fillet Mignon and teriyaki rice from the kids menu.
The Fillet Mignon and teriaki rice from the kids menu was under $10 and was a huge serving. It was so good we had to resist eating it before the kids had their fill. But there was plenty for all 4 of us to have some! I was so full from the seaweed salad, delicious sweet tea, miso soup, and surprisingly divine kids rice dish that i couldn't completely enjoy my sushi rolls until later. And the sushi was excellent as well.
Excited to visit this restaurant again!
We had kiddos with us and our hostess was so gracious and patient with us and brought us cups with lids which is so helpful.
The only thing that wasn't top notch was my miso soup. It wasn't bad, but I'm used to using a darker paste for my miso and this was a lot lighter in color than what I'm used to. So maybe it was normal for the kind of miso it was made from.
Great experience. Great food. Cool theme restaurant, decor, and menu items. Each booth had a band name which was fun. Definitely going to get the adult sized meal of the Fillet Mignon rice for myself next time!
We had two other families with our party and they all loved their...
