Well my wife and I were visiting from out of state. We love the waffle house in our town, but as far as for this one. There are multiple waffle house locations In Gulfport. Based on this experience, I recommend that you go to one of the other 2.. The place was clean, and they seemed to get my wife's order just right. But those are the only good things I can say about it..
we did have to wait just a few mins for a table because of covid, but obviously that wasn't a big deal.. it was after we were seated that my problems started. My wife got the hashbrown bowl and liked it as usual. I decided to go with the t-bone and eggs, the waitress asked me multiple times about my hashbrowns, trying to confirm what I wanted, and yet still somehow got it wrong.. my steak was cold and definitely the toughest I have ever had! But we were in too much of a hurry for me to send it back. (The only reason we were there in the first place was because we didn't have enough time to wait for a table at ihop...) my steak was so though, that 3 bites in I gave up with a STEAK KNIFE and just picked it up and ate it with my hands... but my biggest problem was with our waitress. She very much freaked me out, me and my wife have a 5 month old son. And pretty much everywhere we go, people complement on how cute he is, or his big blue eyes. That's perfectly fine with us obviously, we always just smile, and thank whoever for the compliment. But this time was different.. this woman would NOT take her eyes off of our son.. she stood there staring at him for at least a good couple of minutes, until the manager hollered at her to go do something.. idk what the problem was with this waitress, but her along with how bad the steak was.. we definitely will not be back here our next time...
Read moreOk so I fully understand that people have bad days, but if you’re going to be in the job field of serving the public then that needs to be put aside until after your shift. To many times I’ve seen customer service workers take their bad attitudes and personal problems out on their customers. My grandmother and I visited this Waffle House after leaving the airport. It was about 730am. Our server was an older lady who when she greeted us, already seemed bothered. Mind you we were only the 2nd set of customers in the restaurant at the time. As my grandmother received her plate of food and enjoyed her meal, she asked her server for a to go piece of foil for her sandwich, the lady brings her a waffle container. My grandmother is very savvy and doesn’t really believe in using unnecessary stuff so she politely asked the lady if they just had a small piece of foil or Saran Wrap. I watched the lady then walk back to the kitchen and slam the container down and watched her lips mumble something. All in all, I spoke with the manager bc her attitude was unnecessary! Wether the manager did anything or not, I still feel that these attitudes...
Read moreCalled to place a Togo order around 9-9:30 pm and the music was so loud I couldn't hear the young lady to place my order. I pull up and in front of the doors are 2 employees smoking. I go inside and Keisha is by herself and trying to cook, cash out someone and get my order together. The music was as loud as I heard on the phone. A guys that was outside smoking came back inside yelling at Keisha about how many hugs he got tonight, he put on gloves never washing his hands. I watched him scratch his arm, Take off his hat and wipe his nose all with the same gloves on. I tried to go to the restroom, but another employee was in there for a bit. This use to be a great place to stop and get a bite on my way home, but I think I will be going somewhere...
