Well, that was a super weird experience. I've never been to this place, and I don't know what it was like pre-pandemic, but my visit today was less than impressive. I should have known when on walking in to the restaurant, the first thing you see is a big huge table almost blocking your entry into the restaurant that as for to-go orders. I am well aware that's go worse basically saved the industry during the pandemic, but this restaurant is still at about half capacity for indoor dining. That's fine and all, but they seem to still be operating on a takeout only kind of mentality. The Inn restaurant dining is very stale, only has about five tables that people can eat at. There's that one big table blocking the entry for take-out orders and there's two other large tables in the dining room or taking up completely by plates and napkins and cleaning supplies and things like that in clear view of everybody. They have a partition closing off so you can't see the sushi bar at all and there's more junk behind that partition. There was one waitress it was right around literal running through the restaurant to handle the takeout orders and would occasionally help with the table. Completely juxtaposed to that waitress oh, there was another young girl who was moving at a complete snail's pace, never once smiled, basically had to be asked for everything and she never wants refilled my empty water glass. I finally had to stop the running crazy girl and ask her for some water and it took her about 10 minutes to get it for me. They finally turned some music on about halfway through my lunch, but before that it was completely silent. It's the food have been astronomical, maybe it would have made up for the lack of any sort of experience and the dining room, but the food was really just very okay. I got the Gyoza appetizer, and it was almost flavorless. I actually tasted The Dumpling sauce separately because I was so confused at the lack of flavor and The Dumpling sauce had almost no flavor to it it was so mild. That would have been made up for if the dumpling was nice and flavorful, but it was basically mushy and had very little flavor to the filling. It would have helped if they would have fried it on more than one side, but instead I had one lightly fried side and two extremely mushy sides. I also ordered the yellowtail carpaccio. It was good but it was so incredibly mild including the sauce that was on it, that it basically barely tasted like anything either. I did get a few pieces of nigiri: octopus, egg, and mackerel. All of those were excellent. Super weird overall. I certainly won't go back anytime soon. Maybe I'll give them some time to get back to making their restaurant a focal point and worth making the effort of dining in. Until then, I guess there's...
Read moreWould not go back!!! I think the sushi & prices was great but not worth the horrible service! I ordered a sake flight & did not like it; therefore, I didn't drink it & POLITELY asked for it to be sent back & taken off my bill. They weren't able to take it off my bill (which is fine) and asked me for a replacement drink. Which was fine; however, my replacement drink was $8 versus the flight was $20.
Once our bill came and we paid cash - one of the servers came back & literally ASKED FOR MORE TIP! I explained my drink was only $8 while my flight (that I did not drink) was $20 and I asked for a second drink which she said she could only give me one drink. But she wouldn't leave our table until we gave her more money. Additionally, she was condescending when explaining how tipping works. It felt disrespectful & degrading
Never in my life have I had a server asked for more tip money let alone made us feel humiliated & shamed for our tip amount & forced us to tip more. I will never be returning to this place & will never recommend this place to anyone & will be telling everyone about this...
Read moreFirst of all, when people come in, the staff should ask where they want to sit—like at the bar or at a table. But when we arrived, the staff didn’t ask us anything. After we were seated, other people came in and the staff treated them differently—more politely—and asked where they wanted to sit. It felt like we were being treated rudely. We ordered ramen, one sushi roll, and takoyaki. However, the server didn’t seem to hear us order the takoyaki and later asked if we still wanted it. When it finally arrived, all of the pieces looked burnt.
The ramen was okay, but not great—I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. We only ordered one sushi roll because I was really craving sushi, and we chose the Crazy Roll, which is supposed to have spicy mayo on top. But when we got it, there was barely any sauce—just a small dot of spicy mayo. It’s definitely not worth $18. On top of that, some of the pieces were falling apart. Honestly, I could make better sushi myself. I’ve tried a lot of sushi places, and this was by...
