Gelato Mio — Restaurant in Gurnee

• update* My Family and I went back to Illinois a week ago for Winter break. We went back to the mall and had the boba drink, strawberry flavor. It's different than what I'm accustomed to as this one is a smoothie. But it had great strawberry flavor! My picky daughter drank most of it. The same lady was there from last time. She must be the owner or manager? And three others, one in training? They were all helpful and great in suggesting a flavor. The woman suggested Pina colada, which I didn't get, but I will next time!!! Awesome!!! * I suppose I'm really surprised about the negative reviews regarding Gelato Mio in Gurnee Mills. My family and I are from out of town and stopped in early at the mall to get a head start shopping. My kids wanted a "snack" and we came across this gelato place. There were two people, male and female there and they were super nice! I felt like they were treating us like family -going to grandma's and they are trying to feed you everthing and spoil you kind of treatment. I love that it is so clean, and the designs on the gelato are sooo awesome! The kids had gelato that late morning, we returned later all shopped out. Bad, really bad costumer service, I was about to try Bobble green tea with flavor, the person who was attending was really rude and arrogant, He was laughing and mocking about a question that I made to Him, if He is the casher or person in charge, He did not deserve this job, He does not know or have an idea what costumer service is, losing l lot of sales with this person here, I am Spanish, He is Spanish, think about the way He treat the Spanish people, so so bad, employee, was the first time for me, I will...

I ordered a capachino boba with tapioca. It was awful it was very watered down and the tapioca was nasty. Also the woman that made my drink was not wearing gloves and after handling money, I asked if she would let my put the straw in because her hands were not clean. She put the straw in and didn't understand what i said. I would not waist your money here there are plenty of better options...
