Today over a month later Kay Jewelers just debuted my card AGAIN for the full amount
**In response to Lisa’s response - I very plainly and clearly stated to you that I had already discussed with my bank and they said that there had been no fun sent to my account and that there were no pending ACH transactions or other transactions. I even asked them to clarify if there was anything visible to them that I could not see yet. And they informed me that you guys had not sent the payment through your bank yet.
I understand that you are not in control as I stated in the review, but again that is not the point. The point that you were very rude and lying, and saying that you told me to talk to my bank when I told you on the phone that I had already spoke to them and was trying to Figure out if the funds were actually sent.*
Manager Lisa and her assistant Jim are extremely rude. They are helpful and knowledgeable yet when something doesn’t go their way they become combative very quickly. All I did was call about a refund that still had not been credited to my account and while I understand it may have been my bank’s fault. They approached me presumptively and they made a point to explaine to me the process of my refund, and this is how it went:
“So when you came into the store, did you sign a piece of paper when you got the refund?” I responded “yes.” Then Lisa proceeded to tell me -! “Then we’re done and this is done. This has nothing to do with us. This is not Kay jewelers. Goodbye”
I said hold on. I’m just trying to get some information on whether or not you’ve sent my refund or not it’s hundreds of dollars that you’re holding up for me during the holiday weekend according to my bank.
My bank was very clear that they saw a refund being authorized by them, but they had not sent the funds to them .
I’m sure they will honor my refund and I wouldn’t even doubt it that my bank Is at fault here? I would even be willing to admit that I’m Wrong about getting a quick refund.
But the point is that they were rude as all get and Jim has extremely thin skin. I said “what the hell” when he said “I know who you are and blah blah blah blah blah@“
I would honestly really love to challenge them both to respond to this, and please tell me where in this the lie is. I have spoken nothing but the truth here you guys have been nothing but rude. All I was doing was asking a question.
I don’t recommend this place the sell was very pushy to begin with, but wasn’t given much time to think. I am $755 in the hole the weekend before Christmas because Kay jewelers doesn’t wanna return my money for 10...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with the repair services that Kay Jewelers provides. We purchased my wedding ring in 2013 and were very please up until I had to have a repair completed.
The first repair was to adjust the ring size. I was extremely unhappy with the adjustment because the ring did not appear to be circular anymore and it had a flat appearance to one side. The salesperson stated this was probably due to the way the band was designed. I did not accept this work and had Kay fix this to make it right. The sizing was finally completed.
When purchasing the ring back in 2013, we paid the extra for a lifetime warranty as long as there was an inspection every 6 months. Since our purchase, I have had my ring repaired at minimum 3x, with every repair resulting in a awful appearance. This resulted in rejected the repair and sending back again 1 o 2x. This leaves me without my wedding ring for at least 4 to 6 weeks at a time.
The last repair experience I had was in January of this year, 2018. I had a missing baguette along the band of my ring. I brought it to Gurnee Mills, IL store and turned it in for repair at no cost because I had kept up with my 6month inspections. The ring came back and I was shocked that they had replaced it with a smaller baguette which created a space between the end baguette and the remaining row of baguettes. I brought this up to the salesperson and they stated it was probably because they didn't have the right size baguette to replace it with. I told her it was unacceptable to have a gap between my diamonds in the ring as that is now how it was designed nor how it was purchased. It was then sent off again for repair. It came back again looking worse than it did the first time. My diamonds are now in all different planes. I have never had any repairs to one side of my ring and it is perfect - the other side, which is supposed to be a mirror image of my ring, looks awful. The diamonds are not aligned, not in the same plane, and it looks like metal material was added to the edge to disguise the mismatched baguettes.
My overall experience with Kay's repair service had been awful and I will not be buying another piece of jewelry from this store. I have even contemplated bringing my ring elsewhere to get it repaired like it should be at my...
Read moreThis 5 star rating is for the employee, Denise, that saved me from a horrible experience. I walked in the Gurnee store twice. The first time was a horrible. My fiancé and I were there to exchange for a more traditional engagement ring. The woman that first helped had no patience and wouldn’t even let us view other rings. She made me put on the ring that we wanted to return. She kept repeating “It’s a beautiful ring, you need to wear it so it’s a habit and get used to it.” I felt so guilty and ashamed that we came in to exchange an engagement ring. I felt so uncomfortable her forcing me to keep a ring; we left and I cried in the car. My fiancé encouraged me to come back with him. A few hours later Denise was helping us and I was smiling again. She reminded me this was something I would see on myself everyday; it was something I needed to love. She was kind, listened to us and understood what we were looking for. She took her time, made me excited about the process and we picked out a beautiful ring that we love. Once we get closer to our wedding day; we’ll pick our wedding bands...
