This place has phenomenal food, but everything else is a disaster. We had a party of 10 they didn’t give the right food to some people or gave them a quarter of what other people had they were out of almost every drink we asked for including soda they couldn’t make a strawberry margarita cause they were out of tequila, but offered up a Long Island ice tea to the tune of $12 that had tequila in it! We didn’t understand that we asked for a glass of water for my three-year-old grandson and they said we only serve bottled water because it was too much to run back-and-forth. If we wanted refills wouldn’t give anybody at the table a glass of water and they charged us $3 for it it’s Kirkland water for god sake what does that cost $4-$5 a case??? The water was warm asked for ice we were told we’d have to pay for the ice and that if we brought his yeti in she said they would charge us for bringing in our own drink hello he’s 3!! my daughter graduated college with her BSN we brought a cake I asked if they could bring it out to us after dinner she said yeah, no problem failed to tell me that them bringing it out to us we were going to be charged a six dollar entertainment fee and charged us $10 for plates and forks They included the gratuity right off the bat, which was over $100 and she had the audacity to ask for an additional tip because it had to be split four ways. Well, I only had the hibachi grill chef and a waitress so who are the other two people she’s giving the money too I just thought it was tacky that they would even ask us for additional tip money.if they let us determine the amount of the gratuity we would have left more than 20% instead of the 18% she added on!
No wonder why the place was so empty. The food was great but would never go back there again they even charged us $10 for 10 paper plates and plastic forks I said why can’t we just have regular plates and forks she responded oh I would have to charge additional anyway because now I have to the dishwasher really??? And we even left the staff almost a half of cake!
The lighting was absolutely horrible had to use cell phones flashlight to read the menu.
Utterly ridiculous!! Like I said food was good the chef was great but all 10 of us won’t be going back there anytime soon...
Read moreWe've lived here over 30 years, this place used to be great, unfortunately it seems like this place has fallen on hard times. We walked in at 630pm to a restaurant with 2 people in it one host/ server and one chef. The place seemed so dark that they couldn't afford to turn the lights on. We asked for water and they charge you 2 dollars for Kirkland bottles, that is the only option for water they have which is unheard of in ANY restaurant but fine. The server Sue was completely obtrusive and flustered saying their phones and internet were down. I tried to split a kids meal between my two toddlers but was told there would be a 6 dollar fee added to an already 12 dollar meal that apparently only came with the chicken itself. We were charged extra on the kids meal for fried rice and an additional cost for the vegetables. The chef Benny was amazing and I feel really bad that he has the misfortune of working here, he should highly consider taking his talents elsewhere where he could make much more money. My daughter who is 5 made it very well known that it was her birthday however the server made zero attempt to give her the "free" birthday sherbert that is listed on the menu however in pretty sure that we would have gotten charged for it. The check came and a 30 dollar service charge was added to the menu. When we asked about it the server Sue said it was written on the menu. When we check it says that a service charge will be added to all hibachi meals however there is no mention of what this service fee is for or for how much the service fee is. When we asked why this wasn't brought to our attention she said well you could have asked. I have been in the service industry for 15 years I have never experienced such a horrendous experience in a restaurant where the food was actually good. She took our card it took her 20 minutes (this is not an exaggeration) to run our card. When she came back with it for us to sign she stood there monitoring us signing the slip. My father finally said can we have some space. And she gave us an attitude saying well you said you were in a hurry....I said you are hovering unnecessarily. I was appalled I would never dream of being rude to a server as a server myself but this was just an...

Then the waitress came up and very loudly said you don’t want to sit at hibachi table we were like no. She kept insisting on sitting there. We were still like no we want a table. When I tired to order milk for my toddler she gave me a story about not having milk anymore because no one orders it until they throw it away. Then she kept coming back every minute to ask if we’re ready to order so she took my husbands order even though I wasn’t ready. Then she came back and rushed me on my sushi order. When my husbands got to the table first she said you have to wait. Yours not ready yet. When she came back with mine. We had wiped off the table with a baby wipe so my daughter could eat from the table. She said oh my god that’s not sanitary we said we wiped it off. Then she said I have a big foot ball plate I give to baby’s. I got my tea and it tasted like lake water. When we got our check there was a surprise service fee that was $17 when I asked her about it she said it was for the staff and that we didn’t have to tip.the waitress also mentioned the mess on the floor from my 15 month old. So here’s the problem 1 if I chose to sit at a table then let me sit at the table 2 don’t place our tables order with out everyone’s order my husband got his food 10 mins before me 3 if you offer something to customers how about to tell the customers about that thing before it’s to late 4 don’t try to be sneaky and charge us 20% service fee and say oh it’s in fine print on the menu. That entire experience was worth $2 and we paid $105 for two sushi rolls 1 water 1 coke 1 hot tea and 1 Hibachi meal. We were the only ones in there I felt like they were trying to milk all the money from us they...
