La Michoacana Premium — Restaurant in Gurnee

Hours of operation are not consistent. Employees close the store whenever they want to. Don’t believe the hours posted on Google. Also, quality of ice cream has gone down over the last year. It use to be so good that I was there almost every day in the summer.

Some of the employees are gross.🤢 Especially some of the kids. I went there once and ordered. One kid had just put the ice cream scoop in the sink where they wash their hands, washed his hands in the same sink, turned around and saw me and asked my order, turned back around and and grabbed THE SAME SCOOP OUT OF THE WASH SINK, rinsed it off and got ready to scoop my ice cream with it!!! I was completely flabbergasted!!! Of course I let him know about it. Another employee/kid manager heard me and told him to grab another scoop. JUST NASTY. Please get this store back together, with consistent hours, and competent, sanitary staff, so we can enjoy it, or watch it go...

Horrible customer service!! We went on a Sunday afternoon. My boyfriend and I were trying to pick our flavor for Ice cream, the employee who was taking care of us asked what we wanted. I told her what flavor and she said she didn't have that one, so we asked to try another flavor to replace it and she kept asking what we wanted. At one point she said in a harsh tone "Do you want Hersheys or not?!" I was so embarrassed by the way she talked to us. Even other customers walked up to us and told us they heard her be rude to us. If I could, I would give them ZERO STARS! I will never go back to this location! I would understand if the shop was packed but there was only 2 people behind us and the other employee was already taking care of one of them. TERRIBLE! We have been several times. Every time we hope the service will be better it always disappoints. Teenagers working there have zero motivation to be serious about their job and are so disrespectful. One time the young lady had her boyfriend there at the table and kept making me wait so she could finish talking to him. This past time my boyfriend paid, and the guy went in the back and completely forgot about him. He asked if he was making the order or not and he said "oh my bad" and made it and was about to charge him AGAIN!
