The Wander Inn — Restaurant in Guthrie

I thought it was called the Wander Inn. Soothing atmosphere after a super hot, bight summer afternoon. Comfortable chairs to slouch in. Ŵe got a smorgasbord and a canned clam dish with pickled okra. All tastier than I thought. We needed more crackers. I had a Gin-gin soda which was lime juice, seltzer water, gingerale and gin. Really tasty and the gin comes separately so you can adjust it accordingly. It had the just right ambient noise to hear group conversation and not overhear other conversations. I could have stayed 2 hours, but it was late when I got started a 9pm. No beer or wine, just cocktails...

We only planned to stop here briefly to sample their offerings. We ended up spending several hours here. Shantel and Snappy answered all our questions and made great recommendations. After sampling a flight, I went with the double barrel bourbon, and my lady did a Moscow Mule with the citrus infused vodka. What a great choice! Fantastic bar. The setting and drink quality matches anything OKC has to offer and I recommend a stop through Mack & Ike’s as a part of any day trip to explore historic Guthrie. The one and only gripe I have from several visits is that they really should dim the lights as the sun goes down! Great spot with great service.
