Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii — Restaurant in Hackensack

We were so excited when Bad Ass Coffee opened. We had been checking regularly for updates and even showed up for the grand opening. That first experience was great. The opening staff especially the woman helping us, was friendly, knowledgeable and made the drinks perfectly.

Unfortunately, it has been downhill since then. The current staff especially the tall guy does not seem to know how to make the drinks properly and there is little to no effort in correcting mistakes. I ordered a large and was handed a regular without even an apology just a dismissive “oh well you said the same as her.” That kind of attitude makes the experience feel frustrating instead of welcoming, even after selecting a generous tip amount. Kind of like, just keep dancing and singing to the music instead of doing your job correctly. To make matters worse, they have not had proper iced coffee lids for weeks, which makes it seem like no one is really managing things. At this point, the only reason I still stop in is for the coffee ice cubes, but even that is not enough to look forward to a visit.

I really wanted to love this place and support it long term but unless the customer service and basic operations improve I would not be surprised if this location does not make it a full year. It is a shame because it had such...

I swear this is my SECOND time trying Kona Hawaiian coffee (as it isn't regularly available in most stores like all other famous blends) I'm trying to tell everyone constantly that you just think you drunk REAL COFFEE until you try KONA!! Not only does it have a incomparable Smooth taste like no other, it's Strong, but distinctively without the "Jitters" BADASS COFFEE TRULY lives up to its name. It instantly became my favorite as of yesterday.

Also to Add that the employees there: ASRA and ADDI are true Sweethearts😊.. Adorable, with adorable personalities that have true integrity in the company they work for when it comes to explaining the benefits, history etc.

Badass also have all kinds of other drinks besides the Basic Iced Coffee I had, sandwiches too. Lastly, the place has a nice ambience to sit down with your Laptop and get work done or just chill. Visit there! You won't regret. If you do...you can find me and punch me in the Forehead😂..JK..but seriously, I know you...

We stopped in to try the coffee and get some breakfast sandwiches today. We downloaded the app for the offers first. Good to know though that you can simply scan the QR-code on your receipt after your purchase to add to your account

The sandwiches were pretty small for the price and the one I got had stale bread. Honestly I could deal with that if the price was cheap, but if the price is high and the bread is stale then it's not a good deal.

The coffees that we got were good and I definitely got the "kick-ass" feeling from my coffee after a few sips. I'm also going to enjoy adding the kick-ass cup to my collection of cups and might just come back to get one of the shirts that they sell here as they look great.

The bathroom is immaculately clean and the water flow to the sink is high so getting your hands properly clean isn't a problem.

Overall, we'll probably try this location again, but more than likely only for the coffees.
