Choripan Rodizio 10 Sussex St. Hackensack, NJ 07601 Empanadas Buenos Aires Salad Argentinian Grill for Two Grilled Sea Food With Lobster Seafood Mix With Rice Located on Sussex St near the Bergen County Courthouse is an Argentinian specialty restaurant. Owner Pablo and his staff introduced me to five of the most popular items on the menu. Empanadas: These Argentinian turnovers come in five flavors: Beef, Chicken, Caprese, Spinach, Ham & Cheese. Have one or have them all; the choice is yours! Buenos Aires Salad: This may be an appetizer, but this salad practically eats like a meal. My favorite toppings were the avocado and shrimp. I don’t have an acquired taste for hard boiled eggs; but everything else was perfect. Argentinian Grill for Two: Although this barbecue is meant for two, it can easily serve three people. This carnivorous entrée is filled with all of your favorite proteins including skirt steak, blood sausage, Argentinian sausage, and beef ribs. All meats are cooked with wooden charcoal so it has that authentic hint of wooden flavor. As a bonus, this entrée is served on a table grill with charcoal. Grilled Sea Food With Lobster: You won’t need to travel down the shore for seafood when you explore this dish. It has all of your favorite dishes from under the sea. Seafood Mix With Rice: Here is a variation of the previous entrée except everything is served over a heaping pile of yellow rice. If you are fan of soccer, this is definitely a perfect hang out spot. The walls are adorned with beautiful wall art and souvenirs praising the highly appreciated international sport. It was a pleasure exploring Argentinian cuisine in this fine dining establishment. #choripan #choripanrodizio #hackensacknj #seafoodmix #grilledseafood #argentiniangrill #empanadas #buenosairessalad #foodstagram #njfoodie #localbusiness

This place is very, very good. I have been looking for a good Argentinian steak house for a really long time in NJ and they all had failed miserable. Thank goodness this place exceeded my expectations! I do have to say... I took my mom for her bday a couple of weeks ago, she wanted to try the parrillada but the meat was too over cooked. Over well done, we ordered medium well.. I had order a skirt stake for my self (delicious and well cooked). At the end, I had to share my steak with the table because I couldn't find the waiter to let him know the meat on the parrillada was not cooked to order. By the time I got to him, we were almost done. I explained the issue and he happily replaced the meat with fresh one out of the grill. The only problem was that the new one was way too undercooked (medium term) too pink for my moms liking. At the end, I will still give it 5 stars for the food and the good will and treatment from the staff. No matter what, the meat was tasty and good quality, not like meat bought from COSTCO. Im glad I don't have to go all the way to Long Island anymore to get a good juicy skirt stake! They also had (at least when we were there) live music. Very nice smooth live music to enjoy in the background while you eat! I do have to drop 1 star however, for the bathrooms. Omg, I know weekends are very busy but because it's busy, they should have someone to clean it frequently. It was not pleasant at all going there after enjoying a good meal. I dont want to get graphic, I just hope the owners read my review and get better with this issue. Overall, you should definitely go and try it! I'm definitely going back soon!

I've been wanting to try this restaurant out for some time now. We decided to take my father for his birthday dinner this past Saturday night. All I can say about this place is AMAZING!! We have been to a few Argentinian places around us (Bergen and Hudson County as well as NYC) and this place is by far the best of them! My family and I traveled to Argentina earlier this summer to visit family and the food at Choripan made me feel like I was back in BA! My family makes our own Chimichurri (family recipe) and the Chimi here was perfect! We ordered a bunch of apps, the empanadas were delicious and the ensalada rusa tasted just like my grandma's! My father, brother and boyfriend all ordered the rodizo and were amazed by how good every piece of meat was! My sister in law and I shared the paella with lobster (special of the night) and it was enormous. Everything tasted so fresh and it plenty for us to share and take home. My father's GF ordered the surf and turf (t bone & lobster) that could have fed our whole party! We had flan and dulece de leche churros for dessert along with espresso, cappuccinos and cafe con leche and these did not disappoint either. Overall the food was amazing and the service was just as wonderful. Thankfully my father read that it is BYOB. I did see them make pitchers of Sangria with bottles of wine customers had brought in. We made a reservations and sat down right away. I will recommend to anyone and will for sure be back!

Choripan Rodizio Too exceeded my expectations and left me with an incredibly satisfying dining experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I was in for a treat. This review is my way of sharing my delightful encounter and highly recommending this restaurant to fellow food enthusiasts.

First and foremost, the ambiance at Choripan Rodizio Too is warm and inviting. The rustic decor and lively atmosphere create the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. The staff members are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and well-cared for throughout their visit.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the food. Choripan Rodizio Too specializes in Brazilian cuisine, and they certainly know how to make your taste buds dance with joy. The churrasco-style rodizio is an absolute must-try. The succulent and perfectly cooked meats, ranging from tender beef to juicy chicken, are brought to your table by attentive servers who skillfully slice them right in front of you. The flavors are exceptional, and the variety of cuts and seasonings truly make this dining experience one-of-a-kind.

But Choripan Rodizio Too doesn't stop at just the meat. The salad bar is a feast in itself, offering a wide array of fresh and flavorful options. From vibrant salads to delicious sides and traditional Brazilian delicacies, there is something to please every palate. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients truly shine through in each and every dish.

In addition to the outstanding food, the pricing at Choripan Rodizio Too is reasonable and provides excellent value for the exceptional dining experience you receive. The portions are generous, and you certainly won't leave hungry. Whether you're visiting for a special occasion or simply craving a fantastic meal, this restaurant delivers on all fronts.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Choripan Rodizio Too to anyone looking for a memorable culinary adventure. The combination of delightful ambiance, attentive service, and mouthwatering Brazilian cuisine makes this restaurant a true gem. Prepare your appetite, bring along friends or family, and get ready to savor a truly extraordinary...

Review:

I had a very unpleasant dinner at Choripán in Hackensack, and honestly, I wish I hadn’t gone. The food is way too overpriced for the quality. We had a table for two and ordered a skirt steak and a chicken breast. The chicken breast was absolutely disgusting — hard to chew, weirdly tough, and just overall unpleasant. I’ve never had chicken like that before; it almost felt old or like a really cheap cut of meat. It tasted horrible and was so hard to chew through that it was actually uncomfortable. Do NOT order the chicken here.

The skirt steak was just okay — definitely nothing special, and I’ve had much better elsewhere. The rice was gross and had a strange flavor that was off and unappealing. They should really specify what kind of rice they serve because it was bland but also had this weird, unpleasant taste. To top it off, the salad was charged extra, which we weren’t told about. The only thing I actually liked were the sweet potato fries. Everything else was really bad.

The bread they bring out at the beginning was stale and cold — not fresh at all. Service was also disappointing. We had two different servers, and neither one checked on us even once after bringing the food, despite our clearly unhappy faces. They weren’t attentive at all. I also noticed the man sitting next to us waited about 15 minutes for service and ended up leaving because no one helped him.

For this awful experience, I was charged $120 — absolutely ridiculous. You’re expected to leave a big tip on top of food that’s this bad and service that’s this inattentive. Honestly, I would’ve rather gone to Texas Roadhouse. I thought Argentine steak was supposed to be amazing, but this was tasteless and disappointing. The chicken was by far the worst — chewy, hard, and just strange. I don’t know what they served me, but it was awful.

Save your money and go somewhere else. I will not be coming back and do not recommend this place at all. And good luck...
