I visit this Starbucks regularly because it’s convenient—I live right across the street. However, this location consistently runs out of items on a daily basis, and the drive-thru is extremely slow. If there are more than three cars in line, expect to wait at least 10 minutes. If you're in a rush, especially heading to work, I wouldn’t recommend using this drive-thru.
The staff here has generally been friendly, but my experience today was disappointing. When I asked why they always run out of items, the employee at the drive-thru told me they "sell a lot" and that I come "towards the end of the day"—which didn’t make sense since it was only 5:15 PM, and they close at 9 PM. They were out of pink cake pops and cookies, so I had to change my order.
When I reached the window, I mentioned that they should manage inventory better since this is a recurring issue. Instead of acknowledging the concern, the employee got defensive and told me, “Sir, you’re always complaining, go down the street and order somewhere else.” He then contradicted himself by saying he had never seen me before.
What really caught me off guard was his behavior when it came time to pay. When I handed him my phone to scan the app, he refused to give me my order until my payment went through—acting as if I was going to steal my own order. Meanwhile, he left another customer's drink outside on the window ledge and walked away. He was dismissive, unprofessional, and condescending, repeatedly calling me "boss" instead of simply apologizing and handling the situation better.
I usually have good interactions with the staff here, but this employee was completely out of pocket. Starbucks should work on improving inventory management and training their employees on basic customer service and...
Read moreI ordered my first mobile order today and had an unfortunate experience. I went into the drive thru and skipped “the box” because I imagined I simply had to show my order at the pickup window considering the app notified me the order is “Ready”. I was rudely received with no greeting, simply instructed to go back around to the box for my order. I explained I had a mobile order and showed it to her and she told said I still had to go around and advise that I had a mobile order through “the box”. I said it was my first time placing a mobile order, I was not trying to be difficult, I was not familiar with the process and asked if she could just help give me my order. She asked my name and if it was a drive thru or in store pickup and I gave her my name and tried to show her I was not given an option, it just said mobile order but she interrupted me and said she didn’t see my order there so I still had to go around the drive thru again and to the box while she found it. I decided to stop wasting my time with her by wasting my time going around the drive thru again, for her to tell me at the box that she found it and “by the way it was an in store pickup”. This whole scenario could have been avoided and instead of creating such a negative experience with the lack of willingness to help, she simply could have explained the procedure for next time. If this is a store policy that we need to go thru “the box” then Starbucks, you need to do better at training your employees to be better at communicating and knowing when to bend the policy a bit to provide better service. Will not be...
Read moreHands-down, the worst Starbucks in North Jersey. I was super excited for this new location to open however, in a six months that I’ve been going they have never accurately gotten my order, right. They have horrible customer service and whenever an issue arises, there’s never a manager on site. Today I went in for a black iced tea. I asked for a Venti with two pump sweeteners and no water. When I received my drink I noticed it was mixed with water…not only through the taste, but the very light color of the tea I was handed, I politely asked them to remake it because it tasted like sugar water, and I like a strong black tea, The barista looks me dead in the face and said we’re running low on black ice tea, If you wanna come back later, I’m gonna make a new batch soon. Now this is happened to me plenty of times, but the barista will make the tea on the spot, I’ve haven’t had to wait more than three minutes, but to tell me to leave and come back at another time is absolutely ridiculous. I will not be returning to the Starbucks I’d rather drive the extra mile to the Sanzari Hackensack Starbucks location next to Hackensack hospital, and for those who don’t know, there’s also two more in Hackensack one in target and one in Barnes & Noble. Save yourself the aggravation and do not go to...
