I'd like to provide some feedback regarding my experience, since this is a recurring event. On Saturday, February 10, 2024 in the 8 o' clock hour (not specifically 8 a.m.) I visited the Hackensack location. There were no consumers there, but two employees were there, one behind the register, the other seated. I stood there for minutes, waiting for my order to be taken while the cashier reconciled her paper work. Eventually, the employee whom was seated came to assist the other employee with her paper work, all while my order hadn't been taken. The young lady behind the counter finally took my order and I sat down. A Spanish customer walked in, was greeted right away and her order was taken. Her order was completed and given to her before me, although I was there first and ordered before her. I inquired as to why she would be served first and was told that my drink needed to be in a different blender because the first one didn't work. Unfortunately, because I've experienced this in the Elmwood Park location multiple times, I know what's happening all to well and it has prevented me from continuing to patronize them. I understand the comradery and can even appreciate it, but I feel slighted and disregarded when this happens. I enjoy the drinks but I cannot continue to support a business that dismisses regular consumers based on preferential treatment. I can only conclude that Tropical Juice Bar only wants Hispanic patronage.

The other day I got, Tropical Juice Bar, for lunch. I ordered their Pernil Wrap w/ Fries and a side of two Stuffed Yuca. This place was delicious! Great flavors and textures! The Pernil was seasoned exceptionally well, and the fries were cooked to perfection! I am not a fry lover, but this place’s fries were awesome, and I ended up eating them all. They have this pink sauce that goes on everything and it was really good. It’s basically a Mayo & Ketchup blend. Although the food was really good, the portion size was a bummer. I was expecting a “full-sized” wrap, but it was more on the slimmer side. It was more like a stuffed quesadilla. The toppings had a lot more prominence than the actual Pernil itself. The fries were fantastic and to make it better the customer service was exceptional. My total review score would be a 3-3.5 stars, if not for the service and the fact that the ingredients were fresh. The Stuffed Yuca also greatly impacts my final score. They were extremely tasty and had a wonderful crust to compliment the soft texture of the Fried Yuca. All in all, Tropical Juice Bar, was fairly exceptional. If not for the portion size, I’d rate them a bit higher. Try them out if you’re looking for some decent food, and you are in the, Hackensack, area.

If you’re Dominican just avoid this place all together because you will be mad. Their morir soñando sucks, they make it with regular milk not carnation how they advertise AND IT CUT. Everyone knows you can’t let a morir soñando cortarse and these people LOVE to hand you a morir soñando to cartao. Their beef empanadas suck too they use carrots as filling pa rendir la carne. Don’t even get me started on their yaroa. They just throw everything in a plate and call it a yaroa. I’ll guess that the owner of this franchise isn’t even Dominican, just appropriating Dominican cuisine. And if the owner is Dominican then shame on you. They can trick the South Americans that live in this area but they can’t trick me. I’m never spending my money here again. Sincerely, An Angry Dominican PS: this is a pic of a so called yaroa 😒 UPDATE: I refuse to give my business to a company who harasses people due to a negative review. We do not want to be harassed via call or text. Do better. You should be asking for permission before contacting. Do yourself a a favor and don’t bother coming here. There’s a million other juice bars locally and these people don’t deserve your business. I called to place an order to go and was told to please hold. I was 15 mins away. I get to the place still on hold. I Walk in and not one customer in there but yet 3 employees standing around dancing spanish music. Are you kidding me? Is this how they do business? I placed my order which I would’ve not placed if it wasn’t for my pregnant wife wanting a smoothie from there. I ordered a large strawberry smoothie waited another 10 mins until they get it ready then they hand me a small after I paid for a large. Lol she said sorry can I give you the difference back? I said no I want a large strawberry smoothie like I ordered. She said she would have to make it again. Waited another 10 mins until my correct order was made. This whole deal took over 35 mins which should’ve been an easy 20 min transaction at most. This place is dirty you walk in and there’s dirt on the floor and everything they make your smoothies in behind the counter looks like they haven’t been washed since they opened. I advise you go somewhere else...
