I was coming here twice a week. It's always extremely slow. I've never seen a drive thru take so long. If you see more than 2 cars in the line, plan for 10-15 minutes to get your order. Every single car takes 3-5 minutes to process. Every time. I'm generally very patient because I know how hard food service is, but it's really bad here.
I assumed their drive up process wasn't working for them, so I started going inside. It's almost just as slow, with 4-5 staff moving at a glacial, meandering pace. I've never seen a Starbucks move so slowly and inefficiently and I've been to a lot of them.
If you can, go to the B&N cafe across the street or the Starbucks inside Target. Even with a single person taking orders and the same person making the food at those locations, it's somehow faster than a full team at this Starbucks. They should do better at staffing those locations (especially Target) but this place is adequately or over staffed and seems to be having the opposite effect for some reason?
I'm giving them a 2nd star because they do make my order correctly when I'm in the mood to add 10-20 minutes to my trip for an iced coffee. Won't be coming back because I value my time and this obviously is a management or staffing issue with the place...
Read moreI love the Starbucks at Hadley. They have great interiors, lot of space and courteous staff. However, I am afraid I won't go there again after the experience I had recently with one of the customers there. I have often seen an African American man sitting outside at this Starbucks location. I didn't notice until he started approaching me and a couple of times has literally scared me because of his behavior. This man is tall (6"5 feet or more) and is heavy. He is very intimidating and has followed me a couple of times. When I shared the story with another customer at Starbucks, she mentioned she had a similar experience with him. Surprisingly, I found out that this man has misbehaved with the women staff at Pizza Studio (a pizza restaurant next to Starbucks). It also seems that he has been following one of the staff members at Pizza Studio. Clearly this man is dangerous and a threat to the women in the community. I am afraid of this man and I have therefore not involved the police. I am scared to come to this Starbucks location again though I...
Read moreAt this store, retail coffee beans are displayed on shelves under full afternoon sun, causing the beans to be heated, contrary to Starbuck's own recommendation; "it should be kept away from sun exposure...". Months ago, after asking the staff member to feel the warmth of the bag, I suggested that the shades on the west-facing windows be lowered to preserve the freshness of the coffee. This week, again, the shades were raised at the time of my afternoon visit. After asking the staff member to feel the warmth of the bag, I reiterated my suggestion that the shades be lowered. The staff member seemed to think that this was not an issue. Okay, maybe I'm a coffee snob, but aren't all Starbuks customers? Even so, the people in charge of selling quality coffee should at least show a little deference to their own storage criteria. I will seek out a Starbucks store that holds the quality of their product above the laziness to lower window shades. And while I'm on it, I sure miss being able to purchase whole bean coffee directly from the...
