We were big Sushi Rock fans until our dine in experience last night. As the server was handing over a bento box onto our table, it tipped and hot tempura sauce spilled on my thigh. I was in shorts. Once I got over the initial shock, the server did apologize and quickly left our table. I cannot remember what she looked like as she wasn't our main server. After I cleaned it up, I went to the front and requested from 2 staff members to speak with the Manager on Duty. The 2 staff members didn't seem fazed at all by my situation. The MoD apologized and offered ice and Neosporin... No food spoilage off the bill/complementary items or anything as a consolation to the incident. We spoke about how a little care can go a long way to prevent recklessness. Mind you, I kept calm and didn't Karen-on, no matter how much I wanted to make a scene. My thigh was stinging.
I was upset with how it was handled. How I had to go look for the manager to inform her of what happened. And yes, I'm complaining. Like I mentioned, we were big fans until we saw what their reaction to an incident revealed about their customer service.

Our server clearly didn't want to be there and couldn't be bothered with the basic upkeep of our table. Served my grandmother a cup of cold tea, then brought her a sake carafe of hot tea with nowhere to put it, by the time we got a fresh cup the tea was cold again.
Pretty sure she forgot to put in parts of our order and had to be asked more than three times where the rest of our order was. My mother had to wait until everyone was done to get her tempura shrimp and my brother waited even longer for a side of kimchi that was more carrot than cabbage. My kimchi ramen had no heat and just tasted like soy sauce. The color was so dark it was obvious it had over reduced to the point where it was just SALT.
We had to go hunt down to a to-go container because our server was MIA. The restaurant itself wasn't busy so I'm not sure why this was such a poor experience. Not a great Sunday family dinner. Especially for...

When we came in we weren't seated by any server so the nice cashier sat us down but not only us she sat other customers down while there were no waitresses in sight. We waited 20 minutes for drinks because the waitresses would rather be in the back talking to eachother than to assist customers that were seated and waiting. We got our food in a great time! Food was outstanding! But one of our orders didnt make it to us because the kitchen never cooked it, mustve been communication error which there shouldnt be when the resturaunt was dead when we went. But the waitress lacked filling up our drinks (the cashier was the one refilling customer drinks and running reg ) big shout out to the cashier who did more than the waitresses she deserved the tip we gave.
